Ah yes… The quintessential roleplaying game. Thanks to the fact that it’s summer around these parts, I have absurd amounts of free time and was trying to find some PCs to screw around with my new Campaign Setting.
Did anyone ever try RPGs? What were your experiences? Share here.
I’m a huge RPG player. I started three years ago, and there has never been a boring game meet. From my first dwarven fighter to my half-dragon half-celestial half-demon paragon sharn (level 1), the whole thing has been fun. My old friend from Germany is coming next week, and I’ve already designed a campaign.
I’d like to try your new campaign setting. Is there a good way to plat D&D over the Internet, though?
Internet D&D is famous for sucking. Horrifically. The problem? Dice rolls. And the feel of being at your kitchen table with your crazy friends, lead minis, and eating Cheezy Poofs is lost in translation.
My CS is in its very early stages. I was aiming for a political Campaign with a tyrannical dictator slowly taking over the continent. The PCs would notice the propaganda and eventually overthrow him. I’m working on aging my map of the as of yet unnamed setting.
But that would never work with my PCs because all they ever do is hit on Bar Wenches in the tavern.
After this line:
“Can I put my Immovable Rod in your Portable Hole?”
The woman slapped the party’s fighter for five HP and knocked him unconscious.
Thankies, I couldn’t find any Cthulhu avvies so I settled for the next best thing. Mind Flayers! The hexagram was low res, but I couldn’t think of anything else for an Avatar at the time.
