this may help with LD`ing

just a quick message, that may help people LD.

what i did last night was instead of saying to my self " 1 am i dreaming, 2 am i dreaming" ect… i simply said “am i dreaming” 4 times and the 5th time i said is this a dream"

i found it easier to concentrate without the number in front, obviously i sometimes said them i wrong order , but i found this did not distract me as much as it would have if i was trying to remember what number i was on.

plus the number is irrelevant to lucid dreams anyway, so i just took the junk out.

this may not be very good practice because there maybe a reason why some count as well.

if i am wrong somebody please say, because i don’t want to give out duff info :wink:

Do you use it in the middle of the night ?

i use it any time im going to sleep right up until i fall asleep, but i wouldnt personally keep doing it if it started to annoy me, just till i have it engrained into my head

You’re right, counting really makes little to no difference other than to help you stay focused. I stick to “I’m dreaming” and it’s worked just fine. Numbers begin to frustrae me because I begin to worry about what number I’m on, if I skipped another and all that otehr junk. The focus is the dream, not the count :content:

The numbers don’t matter, you can keep saying 1 im dreaming, 1 im dreaming and so on, you just need to do it just before you fall asleep.
