I noticed LaBerge talking about it in EWLD. Does anyone know what it is? Ive googled it, and didn’t really find anything.
Tenzin wangyal rinpoche wrote a good book about it. Also if you do a search on LD4all for “dream yoga” I think you will find a few topics.
and on the lucidity institute website is a bit more info about it too, I thought.
and a few sentences in the LD4all guide
the visualization methods are very good ,
has anyone mastered them so that they work ?
i do believe it is time for me to reconnect to this practice,
What it is, is like a pathway to enlightenment. You awaken within your dreams in order to work on spiritual practises in the dream consciousness. Maybe, that’s too vague. But basically the idea is to realize that everything you experience is an illusion, and it will help you to become enlightened. It also works as preparation for the afterlife, because you are practicing staying aware and mindful, and not to give in to astonishment.
you could say, simply, that it’s lucid dreaming with a Buddhist attitude. The difference being that Buddhists are not interested in lucid dreaming for the purpose of having fun, but for spiritual work. Having them for the sake of fun would only be a distraction from more important things. But that doesn’t stop us from using their techniques!
Lama Surya Das recorded a tape at some point talking about it. It’s nice and informative, and contains techniques.
