Tips on becoming lucid

Hi I’m Tygon90, I had a question about lucidity induction
When I was younger Lucidity came naturally to me. Not anymore, Actually for a few years I was unable to. My lucidity is slowly coming back there is just a problem with it. When I’m dreaming my subconscious has already sort of planned the route the dream will take is what I’m assuming.

An example in a old dream I had me and my friends were older and discovered the world was going to blow up. So we set out on a quest to prove it. But one of my friends accidentally blew up the other one with an evil prank kit. So then me and my new friend found a resturant and my fourth grade class had been enslaved by my fourth grade teacher to work at her pizza hut. I shot my teacher in the head when I was trying to convince her to let them go and then I freed them. Then we stole all her pizza and as we were leaving the world blew up.

That’s the end of it. But the thing was I had no control over anything I didn’t try to shoot my teacher my arm lifted involuntarily and I shot her when I wanted to lock her in a closet and I knew I was dreaming the whole time. I didn’t mean to set out on an adventure to save the world without telling anyone but two of my friends my legs were involuntarily moving when I wanted advice from other scientists. I don’t really know a lot about dreams but could someone give me some tips on becoming lucid and tell me if its normal or not. :help:

Probably best to set your intention before you go to sleep through autosuggestion or MILD: instead of just saying to yourself “I will remember I’m dreaming,” add an intention, for instance, “I will remember I’m dreaming and I’ll fly.”

Similarly, you could visualize whatever it is you want to do in VILD. You can’t really set your intention if you’re only using WILD, though.

Also, you could use autosuggestion to “suggest” to your subconscious what you want to do in your dreams during the day, for instance while doing a reality check.
