Hi,
I have already done two lucid dreams (I could even fly), and now I’m trying to use the WILD to get lucid.
What I’m doing is staying immobile in my bed repeating in my head a mantra like “I’m going to dream and I want to realize that I’m dreaming”.
Usually I can feel my body getting numb and heavier and I can see pictures in my mind. But when I realize that’s happening I can feel my heart beat going crazy and getting me out of it.
For example, last night while I was doing this technique I could see a woman dancing and I tried to imagine me grabbing her hand to dance with her and get into the dream by that way. I could feel that I was diving in the dream but then with heart beat became so fast and strong that it ruined everything
Is there any way of controlling my excitement ?
Thanks for any reply
Don’t try WILD it never works!! XD Do WBTB and MILD
Is that what is working for you ?
I don’t want to seem critical or anything but you only had two lucid dream according to your LD count.
I would like diverse opinions on this subject.
Anyway I thank you for your answer, and I will try those other techniques !
I have this when I ocassionaly see HI if i’m attempting a WILD. I find that I start getting excited, heart beating and one of my eyes starts to flicker open. I think the best option is to try and relax and let it come to you, and not try and interact with the scene.
Essentially WILD is like a balance between consciousness and being sleep. Having too much thought processes and action can throw it off.
This happend to me during an afternoon nap a few days ago, there was no intention for a WILD but all of a sudden I saw a picture of JFK on a mug, on my desk… Scared the hell out of me, but I got all excited because I realised it was HI.
It is very possible to WILD, but you need to have some experience, and it’s important to WILD after some sleeping not when you just get to bed. I had my last WILD this morning, I went to bed at 10:30 pm, relaxing till 11:00 pm and slept until 7:30, then I try to WILD… But that doesn’t mean that you can’t try to WILD before… But the fact is that is almost impossible to WILD without any sleep…
About excitement:
It also takes some patience, time, dedication and experience. I felt my heart racing while I had a LD, also I struggled with pain in my shoulder because I fall a sleep in a very bad position. When you feel that your excitement is escalating then stop, stop with everything and just try to calm, breath and try to pay attention on something particular: a felling, or sight or person, anything, try to put you all focus on one thing!
Hope this helps,
Peace!
Thanks you two, it will help me a lot !
That is YOUR opinion. Maybe WILD never works for you, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t work for other people. In fact, I’m almost certain that WILD doesn’t work for you BECAUSE you think it doesn’t work. Telling yourself that something doesn’t work is absolutely NOT the way to get it to do so.
omg take it easy man. That was just “my opinion” and i was just trying to help.
And I was just stating the truth.
OK what i actually meant to say was “don’t try WILD it needs a lot of practice, where as WBTB and MILD require less.” Anyways sorry for the bad advice.
NO offense dablooey but that was a bit harsh. albiet it is half the truth it is hard to do something when you do not believe it will happen, any way enough back seat moderating.
Every time i try to wild i more or less have the same experience. i have learned that you just need to release focus on it if you notice your heart racing just let it race and go with it. i know that may seem hard but it works you just have to get that mindset in you that it is natural and safe (supposing you do not have any underlying heart issues blahh blahh blahh blahh)
It’s okay, sorry for snapping at you. And yes Geekboy, I admit I was a bit harsh.
No I don’t have any issue with my heart haha
Thanks anyway I will try that !
