Well, i found this forum because i had semi lucidic dreams but i always used to wake up, i began to search for what it was i was doing (if you catch my drift) and found here.
I have seen quite a few topics of people in LD’s who have been overcome by fears, their subconcious mind does not want them there or there LD’s change themselves.
I would like to try but worried i would think of something that really frightens me and it will, … like appear. is there anyway to have a lucidic dream without having to worry about stuff like this happening.
you cannot have fear for something you want to achieve
do you think your subconscious takes that fear and just gives you a lucid dream
no, fear leads to self-doubting and self-doubting is the Achilles heel of modern men/women
so try to get past all that and realize that what you fear you need not to because Lucid Dreaming is safer than going out to the Supermarket and buying some milk
(it really is if you think about it)
oh and if your subconscious wants to take over your dream just slap 'em
keep your pimp hand strong lol
Remember: it’s all in your head. You can do whatever you want. If this included kicking a monster’s ass, so be it.
Example: i had a nightmare once that screwed me up a lot. Then after i got over it i had a dream where an evil girl was killing everyone around me. When it got to me, i fought her and defeated her. Haven’t had a nightmare since.
You just have to trust in yourself that you are better than your fears (Which you are.). It’s kinda like the movie “It”, it can only harm you if you believe he can.
When you first enter a lucid dream, the world may begin to slowly become blurry. When this happens, the dream is ending. Spin. Spin around, and invision a new surrounding. When you do, keep spinning. Eventualy, you will see the (albiet blurry) world has changed to what you were invisioning.
Also, as I side note, most people wake up if you get too excited.
Yeah, you can decide to wake up from a bad dream, but you can only choose to if you know you are dreaming so lucid dreaming should make you feel more safe from frights.
But if you are afraid in a dream the dream will reflect that. So you may indeed cause a bad experience by being afraid of having a bad experience.
Furthermore I don’t think you should be afraid of having
ANY dream. If you are scared in a dream that’s a good thing, then you can reflect on why you got scared. And if you are really really frightened by a dream, not only do you have a great story to tell your friends, but other things will not seem so scary in comparison. Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
