Too soon???

I have been reading into LD techniques and faqs a lot lately. I have been actually practicing a hand full of them for the past 4 days.

On day 2 I woke up one morning and did few things and went back to bed in about 30 minutes. While going back to sleep I cleared my head on repeated phrase to myself like "I am going realize I am dreaming and “I am going to have a lucid dream”. As I fell asleep I fell through my bed (or at least felt like it). This happened about 3 times back to back and every time it startled me and I woke up.

Last night, on day 4, I woke up in the middle of the night and immediately said a few of my little sayings and went straight for the FILD technique. With in about 30 seconds I feel a tingling rush over my entire body so I did a nose RC and it passed! I instantly realized I was dreaming for the first time ever. Everything was pitch black though, so I thought to my self “just relax and give it some time to all set in.” I did not think to rub my hands together and before I knew it I was woken up by my room mate being loud :grrr: . Earplugs tonight for sure!

Any ways, I read that it takes months of practice for a lot of people before even seeing signs of becoming lucid in a dream. Am I just super lucky or has this happened to any one else so soon. I am also taking alpha brain a couple hours before bed, so that may be a factor as well.

Am I doing it right? What can I do to transfer from the pitch black to an actual dream… some where I can try flying for the first time?

Moved from General Lucidness :dragon:

You might be trying too hard, maybe, I could be wrong, but that’s the thing with lucid dreaming, you need to stay calm and so focused. I think you should just keep trying and do not give up on something you started! I wish you luck. :content:
