the sound in my dream is usually pretty good except sometimes if someone is about 10 feet away i cant hear them as good then in real life. Also i have more trouble remembering dialouge then the dream itself although i usually remember about half of what is said. i have not tried increasing the quality though…
A recurring theme of my dreams is invariably scenarios that feature vintage sound effects (Cinesound). A project of mine that I work on is the Cinesound Effects Library preservation project. A sub part of the project involves catalogging instances where sounds have been used in films or TV programs.
There’s a huge variety of sounds (mainly in the explosions and signature destruction sound effects) that I have trained myself to listen to and identify at a moments notice. As such, sound effects from the library occasionally turn up in my dreams. On some occasions, they actually sound clearer/cleaner than the recordings I have to the point of where I could easily pass it off as the master recording. Just a shame I can’t take sound recordings from my dreams into WL.
