Totally Spontaneous

Such a weird thing just happened to me. I was sitting on my couch, and decided to get something to drink from my fridge, so i got up. i walked over to the fridge, and had my mind set on just getting something to drink, but i walked over to the counter and wrote something with a pen.

I then returned to the fridege, got something to drink, and walked away towards the counter. I read the word “Tangible” on a piece of paper. I had written it. I have no idea why tho.

All i remember was walking over to the fridge to get someting to drink, and then a flash of writing something, and then i was at my fridge again.

I did like 40 RC’s. and realized that i had walked over to the counter and just wrote the word “tangible” involuntarily and abruptly forgot about it. Can anyone explain what happened.

that’s pretty awesome.

is it like the feeling where you are sitting immersed in thought, then you suddnely are at the fridge getting a drink and hardly know how you got there?

that is such a nice feeling.

Wow…thats kinda weird, but cool. Maybe you really wanted a tangible drink? :eh:

It was wierd, i wasnt even really in a deep state of thinking, i went to get a drink, and then just as i got to the fridge, my body walked over to the counter and wrote “Tangible” all on its own, and i did not regain…i guess “conciousness” until i returned to the fridge. It was just so random. And i never really had the feeling of being “out of it” either. In fact, i probably never would have known that i had walked to the counter and written something if i hadnt notice the paper that said intangible which sparked very vague memories of doing it

I just hope that doesnt happen to me while i’m driving

Lol, contrary to having an intangible drink right?

Maybe you thought “when I get up, I’ll write this word down, because…” and then did it, but forgot the reason why? Whoa, no wait, that’s confusing.

nah, i didnt think about writing anything down, i just wanted to go get something to drink!

Whatever it was, I’m sure you were just so immersed in your own thoughts that you weren’t even paying attention to what you were doing in the first place. It’s probably no big deal; I’m sure things like that happen all the time. Don’t worry about it.

That’s what I’m saying! Maybe you did think about it, but now forgot it? Forgetting things is like this. Cut out of your memory. But let’s stop this, or I feel something evil is gonna happen. :content:

Strange… It probably felt so real at the time. Its wierd how the mind works. Hey, i guess thats why we all found our way here?

Couldn’t it just be that your mind was confused? Not you, but your mind, in a sense.

Like those times, when you want to do something, but find yourself doing something else; you stop, giggle at yourself, and get back to what you wanted to do? Like going into the kitchen to get a spoon, but walking out with a knife.

Or, it could be that your subconcious is trying to send you a message?

Tangible is an anagram for belating! Lol

Maybe you programmed autosuggestion wrong and your SC was trying to tell you that you are in a dream. :cool_laugh: Yes, I have no clue what tangible means. :cool_laugh:

:cool_laugh:

@ Liquid:

I have the spoon / knife thing a lot. Especially when I grab in the thing with the little spoons / forks. I always grab a fork for my cornflakes.

That also happens with pens a lot, I grab the green one and have the byro in hand…

Well, thank you for your suggestions everyone, if it happens again, I’ll post it :content:

I’ve had similar experiences to the one that you’ve just described. On some occasions, while I was about to pour myself a bowl of cereal, I’ve noticed that I’ve taken a glass, instead.

My life story

Sure its not scitzophrenia?

About an hour ago I turned on our loud oven to make it warm for french fries. I went to the computer did stuff and began hearing strange noises from the kitchen and thought “nobody’s here”. Time went by 10 minutes ago and I was going to go to my room when I saw that the oven was on in the kitchen. I thought “WAIT! How can this be? Did my grandmother come down (she has no own oven or something like that)? I certainly didn’t turn on the… oh, french fries, ok.”

^^Sounds like me…Im so preoccupied in my own thoughts sometimes that midway walking to something i forget what i was going to do. Then i return back to my room, do something else, and suddenly remember “oh yeah I wasnt meant to blah blah!” :content:
