tough call

would you consider it a LD if you believe your physical body is flying. it felt like a LD, only i thought i had disscovred the gift of flight meaning i actualy thought my physical body was flying. i flew over my wife, and soon after itt became a ND. my wife was freaked out, because i could fly, and i was trying to calm her down. she said everything had become spiritual, and she could smell a strong sent of flowers. it was pretty weired.

A lucid dream is when you know you are dreaming. Would you say you knew you were dreaming?

yes. ive had alot of lds before, and this one was like i knew i was dreaming, but some how at the same time i thought i was really flying. maybie it was a low level ld.

Lucidity is gradual. There are just so many ways of knowing it’s a dream, this one you could call a semi-lucid. The dream also seemed pretty important to me, have you tried interpreting it?

I agree, if you knew you were dreaming then you probably achieved some level of lucidity. But I usually judge by that feeling of awareness, since sometimes in a dream I’ll say to myself that I’m dreaming, but I’m not actually conscious of it. For me to personally call it a lucid dream, it require that certain sense of consciousness.

I wouldn’t say you were having a lucid dream just because you were flying though, since I fly in normal dreams frequently and with ease.

It sounds like a low level lucid dream. Low level because it is a pretty big mistake, but I suppose even at high lucidity, one can simply forget this one fact. I have been convinved in lucid dreams, that I have been having a shared dream with several of my friends even though I don’t even believe in those things when awake. To me that is a big mistake -Forgetting for the moment how the universe is supposed to work. In your case, you forgot that when you’re dreaming it’s not your physical body you’re experiencing.
