Hey,
I was just wondering if it would be possible to train for martial arts within a dream and carry over the skill to real life? I’m about to take my blackbelt and I need more practice.
Thanks,
Rich

Haha, I can tell you this is possible if you are up to do it, but you still need to train the skill IRL as well and not only in the dream.
Good luck taking your blackbelt, Im very sure youll make it if you really want to make it
Training in a dreams will train your mind, but not your body. Of course, this is very important for martial arts, so I’d say it can’t hurt go for it. Especially if you feel you need more practice. Even if it actually only boosts your confidence, that will help.
But it’s really only supplementary to REAL training and meditation. I have a black belt myself, so as a fellow martial artist, I wish you the best!
EWOLD mentioned a golfer, and a cellist I think, who were able to practice/rehearse in their lucid dreams. Why not martial arts?
Pantalimon even rendered a dream dojo environment in 3D
Dream dojo. Sounds like some hyperbolic time chamber dbZ stuff haha. If only I could recall the music I come up with in my dreams
Hey,
Thanks people for all the great answers I really appreciate it. I’ve already taken my blackbelt once and I failed because I got 1 handposition wrong . If it’ll only train my mind, that’ll be a good supplement cause I find it a bit hard to remember patterns.
Thankyou all again,
Rich
