Well, it was hard to decide what section to put this in, so if the mods think this thread would be better suited elsewhere, please feel free to move it.
Almost every night, I practice trance states before bed. I let my body fall asleep, and try my hardest to keep my mind awake. In this state, it makes it easy to enter into lucid dreams, or attempt OBE’s. Usually this goes off without a hitch, but sometimes I find myself “trapped” in trance, with no way to get out of it or advance it.
It’s an extremely unpleasant feeling; like all my energy is gone, and I want to sleep, but am unable to no matter how hard I try. I can still move while in this state, so it is not a form of paralysis. During this time, I feel extremely depressed and uncomfortable, and unable to think clear thoughts. The closest I can come to describing it is “Restless zombie”.
Does anyone ever have experiences similar to this? If so, have you developed any methods of overcoming this unpleasant state of consciousness?
