My first almost LD since joining. I’m leaving a house and realize the neighborhood is very quiet, no people, no cars. Just as I think this a car comes around the corner and I realize I’m dreaming. I recall reading (Laberge I think) that one should try to open their "dream eyes’ to achieve lucidity. I attempt this with great difficulty… the scene gets shaky and I feel and see that I’m being pulled upwards out of my body. I then open my eyes only to look into room in which I’m sleeping. Disappointed at waking and having lost the LD I fall back asleep but later realize that I didn’t wake up in the first place.
I’m thinking next time I won’t force the transition, stay grounded, and just let it happen. Any other suggestions? Incidently, I think LaBerge mentions that when he uses the “eye opening” technique he does become lucid but almost always has an FA. I think reading that had some influence on my event.
