Unfamiliar Dream Characters

When i dream, i meet many people i already know. People who i dont know, i assume i know, even though i dont; i dont care really in my dreams.

Other people on these forums seem to speak to strange people that youve never met before.

Do most other people notice that they are talking to people that theyve never seen before?

I dont seem to have recurring dream characters that i know either.

I’d have to say that not all of my dream characters are those that I’ve never seen before, although a good number of them are. Many of them are also people whom I know from real life, but the amount of characters that I know versus those that I don’t know vary from dream to dream in my case. As for recurring dream characters, one comes to mind, but it’s not even worth mentioning again. Once again, anybody who knows me well enough knows already!

I think I’d rather have DCs be people I don’t know, it’d be different.

I’m the opposite. I like to have DCs be people I do know. I see what they do and how they react as DCs, and how it connects to them IRL.

Unfortunately, most of my DCs are people I do not know, or at the very least, vaguely resembling people I do not see anymore. This leaves me confused, for the most part, but I appreciate recalling any dream

I’m much more interested in dreams including dc’s I don’t know.

I have a number of recurring DCs based on real people I know. Because I know them, and most of them have symbolic meanings I remember dreams about them frequently.

However I have many other dreams with DCs who are not based on real people. Some seem very normal and like I’ve known them for a long time. Others are quite strange and even have strange names (e.g. Senor Lupsi, Wobless the church clown). Seems like most DCs don’t have names I can remember.

I’ve had dream wives, girlfriends, children, relatives who all seemed well known to me, only to wake up and realize they are DC s.

I think there are two types of unknown DCs.

The first type are people that you’ve seen but haven’t seen you; they’re less than acquaintances. This includes people you’ve see on television, in the media, movies, and possibly passerbys you’ve just stared at when you were at a public location. An example of these people that I just dreamed about last night is Donald Trump.

The second type are people that you’re not sure are really people, but they do have the distinct features of a human. Some personal examples are a businessman, a disabled woman, a theatrical comedian, and a married couple living in California.

I think the second type are huge motivations for writers.
