Last night I woke up, did the WBTB, etc. Not unusual. However, what hit me next was. I was trying to fall asleep, and hopefully get into SP. Suddenly, I felt my body moving my legs and arms were going wild, though I knew I was right in my bed. Then, I woke up. No imagery, no voices, no nothing. Just that feeling that I was moving. I wasn’t afraid, but I knew I wouldn’t fall asleep like that. I knew I wouldn’t go into a WILD from that. Maybe my uncertainty was what woke me up. What do you think?
That sounds very similar to floating state, or in other words one of the stages before an OBE.
Like no real sense of gravity yet you could feel yourself moving…? hard to describe. Like youre floating around inside of a shell or something?
Yea. My exact feeling. I felt like I wasn’t on my bed, I was in mid air and moving. But how can I get into an OBE without being Lucid?
OBEs dont really need to be caused by a lucid dream. Some people affirm that you can get an OBE by meditation or by in this case trying to get into SP. Maybe you were close of an OBE : )
Cool, thanks!
Yeah, LD’s arent necessarily the only way to get into an OBE. I used to be really big on OBE’s (but not now because im more into the self-thing). In my DJ (sig) you might find something helpful. Before i had made an AP (astral projection, or in other words a ‘forced’ OBE) Map, LOL. Mainly focusing on consciously entering SP and then floating and then the full-seperation kinda. I think thats like the 3rd post or something of my DJ if you wanna check it out. Dont just take my word for it tho theres a big OBE Topic in Beyond Dreaming i think.

Good luck!
damn, I thought the floating thingie was a normal WILD-stage that occurs sometimes. It would be cool to have an OBE
I always wake up when this happens because I don’t like the feeling of being in midair and twisted around. Next time I’ll let go and just see what’ll happen
