ok so i have only ever had one experience before of seeing a sleep paralysis monster, all other times my eyes are closed and i can only detect them with my other senses. but this time genuinely terrified me. not just because i saw the bent over shadow figure in my doorway, but i felt all the air being sucked out of my lungs and for a moment genuinely thought i was going to just die, couldn’t get any breath. this scared me, badly. what the heck was this? i actually was so freaked out i woke mom up in the dead of night to take my mattress into her room because i refuse to sleep alone.
