Valerian root

I just bought valerian root. Can it increase lucid dream success and how much should I start with i.e how many mg should I take for it to work? 1 tablet has 1200 mg

The recommended mg would be 300-600mg a half hour to two hours before bedtime. It’s also said to avoid/do not combine with alcohol, other sleep aids/sedatives and antidepressants. It might have a slight reduction in the first stage of REM sleep but an increase during the latter stages of sleep.
Overall it does seem to be effective for deep sleep. falling asleep faster and less awakenings during the night. But it might be best to consult a doctor to make sure it’s okay for you to take.
