I’m sure alot of us excercise meditation and dreaming during our alarm snooze intervals in the morning… but today I noticed something quite strange… a dream if you will…
I woke at about 5am and from then till 630am every 10mins my alarm would go off… At one point in that time it went off and I hit the stop button to turn off the alarm (in leui of just snoozing more) and so I just kinda lay there staying conciouss to make sure I didnt sleep through work which was at 7am…
It was somewhat warm and during the early evening… I walked down a dirt road and camp to a fork… There was a girl standing there and she had a clipboard out and a pen. She asked for my name I dont know if I gave it to her or not.
Now here’s the interesting part… I didn’t realize any of this happened until it was over… And when I did realize all of it… I also realized it happened in about a 5 second time period of having my eyes closed and not even being asleep. Is this insane? Are these the moments in my mornings that I need to utilize to WILD?
That was really weird. Seek really experienced dreamers. But to me, i think (correct me if i’m wrong) you either had HI or plain wild imagination. (not WILD)
That happens to me too, mostly when I wake up in the morning and don’t stand up and just lie in the bed. I start making up senseless conversations where I either talk to people or watch people talking. They only last a few seconds and I don’t exactly know if they stop because I realize what’s happening or if I realize whats happening after they stop.
The process that “creates” dreams keeps being active for a while after we wake up, certainly in the early morning when we are still tired. Normally you dont notice since you keep your eyes open. However some people even see these dreams with open eyes, so called hypnopompic hallucinations. And yes you can use this very well for WILD, thats why they say, combine it with WBTB.
I’ve experienced this before. It can happen (if it’s the same thing you saw) when you’re taking a nap, too. Sometimes, right before I fall asleep, I have a really out-of-place thought or vision. Then, when I notice how weird it is, it goes away.
This has happened to me a few times as well. I know I have to get up for a few minutes so I just lay with my eyes closed. However, I’ll suddenly realize that I was “dreaming” for a few minutes, as I’ll look at the clock and only 3 minutes have gone by.
I’m sure this is an example of why the WBTB method works so well. Your brain will go into the dreamstate extremely quickly after being asleep for several hours.
