Very strange dream, could someone interpret?

I don’t remember the dream 100% perfectly, but I think there’s symbolism in what I do remember. I’ve bolded things I’m 100% sure have some meaning.

The dream starts with me having an IRL friend at my house. I suggest we go to a nearby theater to see a movie, and he agrees. When we get to the theater, we find that it’s showing four different movies. Three of the movies are R-rated, and I don’t want to watch them with my friend because I’m afraid his parents will find out (they are very strict - he’s not allowed to see R-rated movies even though he’s 16. This never stops us from watching them at my house IRL.) Anyway, I noticed the fourth movie was a PG-13 action film, so we settled on that.

After the movie, we go to his uncle’s house (he’s mentioned his uncle before, but I’ve never seen the uncle). In my dream, his uncle had a daughter about 7-8 years old, and his uncle’s wife (my friend’s never mentioned him having a daughter or wife) had called us to see the daughter’s newest project. Apparently, the girl likes to bake, so we are taken into a back room that looks like a small warehouse to see her newest dish. Sitting on a metal bench are five giant cookies, each the size and shape of one of us - there was a cookie of me, of the aunt, of the uncle, of the daughter, and of my friend. The aunt “poses” them on a bench, and takes a picture. We leave the cookies behind, to be served later.

At this point my friend and I start playing a Playstation 2 game, one with fighting robots and the like. Suddenly the game and the Playstation transform, the Playstation becoming a Gameboy and the game that was in it becoming a Gameboy cartridge. I turn the new system on, and a character comes onscreen and says something to the effect of: “We will now be able to help you in any of your dreams. Take us with you.” (I didn’t get lucidity from this, even though it was a perfect chance. I should also note, I believe this will be able to help me in later dreams.)

I suddenly find myself at the entrance to a mine. I learn that terrorists have taken several of the miners hostage, and I somehow got the idea to rescue them even though I’m completely weaponless. I turn a corner and my am drawn directly to a miner who was sitting against the wall, bleeding badly. I rush over to him, but he says he’s dying and that it’s too late. He says “If you’re saving the other miners, you should know they might be afraid. They might mistake you for-” and dies. Looking up at the wall, I see a crude drawing in brown spraypaint I hadn’t noticed before: an evil-looking man with his face hidden, brandishing a massive knife. I instinctively realize that this is what he was saying they might mistake me for, and realize that he’s after me. I run to my home to try to get away.

I’m at home and it’s night, when I hear the door being broken down. I realize it’s him and panic, but suddenly remember the Gameboy. I learn that it can be used as a time machine - push a button and a portal takes you to any time you want. I have such a hard time getting it out and finding the buttons that the killer has almost reached me, so I just press the button without setting a time.

When I exit the portal, I realize that I’m 300 years in the future. I look out the window and see that the future is almost the same. The only major difference is that it’s too dark, even for nighttime. Streetlights, stars, moonlight, and any other light that hits Earth is much weaker than it should be - streetlights only lighten up an area of 2 or 3 yards. Outside the glow of the streetlights, everything is almost pitch-black. I can see a few shadows of short, muscular, monstrous looking things in tattered clothes. They attack anybody that they see.I turn on some lights in the house so I can at least see a little, watch the strange monsters, then wake up.

Sure, some parts of this dream probably just mean I play too many videogames  . But I’m fairly sure there’s deeper meaning in this; especially my extreme caution at the theater, the strange cookie-people, and a future that’s, literally, very dark.

 hello DrDoom welcome to LD4all

if it was my dream …

brings to mind hansel and gretel and the gingerbread house with the image of a fence made out of gingerbread men…
so may be danger … people not being what they seem etc

again if it was my dream … it would be the uncertainty about the future … since we can’t see how things will work out.

Have you pondered more on the dream? sometimes it takes a while to draw out the symbology of the dream for yourself?

Could be an alternative future in which the sun is no longer existing :bored:  The global warming left us with mutated species.

Honestly, I think this was just an ordinary dream.

Do the number 3 and 1 mean anything to you? For example three attempts at something that don’t work out, one that does?

I noticed the word pose came up for you, and that the aunt takes a picture of them. Did it feel like they were more the focus than the real people in the dream? Do you ever feel like a silhouette, a 2-dimensional outline of who you are that you and other people “pose” as to fit in somewhere are more important to others, or to yourself, than the depth of who you really are?

Is there anything coming up in your life or that you want to happen that you don’t fully know about ahead of time that’s causing you some anxiety or concern or that’s been on your mind?

Just some thoughts. I think the best person to make sense of what your symbols mean is probably you. You know the context of the things going on in your life, what’s been going through your mind, and have a better idea than anyone else what a particular person, place, thing or idea represents in your mind.

Well, I have little experience in interpreting, but this is what I think:

  1. You feel yourself not fully grown up. Or perhaps, you don’t want to fully grow up?
  2. Do you feel that someone is playing games with you? Someone vould be playing with you - making you do what he wants.
  3. You want to play a lot of games. You can use their suggestion, and make the videogames make you lucid (For example: Make an RC check everytime yyou open a game)
  4. Either a PreCog about an incident in venezuela, or south america, or you feel that you can’t hold on to certain people.
  5. You have much to escape. But you should learn that escaping is the last resort, not as in ths dreram.
6)That can say that pur future is literaly dark, or it could say that you don’t do bad stuff, but you don’t stop them either.

I hope I helped you - although I probably didn’t. Remember that the most important thing as an interpreter is what this dream mean to you. I also think that the movie you spoke about had an important part with it, even if you only remember a fraction of it.
