Was I lucid or not?

Hey All,

I have a dream to share but I’m not sure if I really was Lucid. You will see what I mean. I also added a topic in the Dream Journal Section but that is about something else.

The Dream

I was in a building and was fighting some terrorist who had ski-masks on. I was a police-officer and I was killing these terrorists with a weapon, as I recall it was a AK47. After killing every bad guy I saw my fellow colleagues running out of the building. I was confused so I decided to ‘tag’ along.

The moment I came out , the building behind me exploded. I saw my boss with a detonator and I yelled at him for not warning me that the building would explode. He never seemed to care what I thought of that.

When I turned around I saw a familiar face, it was Emma Watson ( gotta say I really like here ) and I was happy to see her face. But something strange happened afterwards. When I saw her face I felt confused and had to urge to do a RC. I looked at my hands and one of my hands had eight (!) fingers. I was stunned. I was saying to Emma “This can be real!”. She was laughing and I felt even more confused. I looked at my hands again and now I had seven fingers. From that point I knew something strange was happening.

For some reason I wanted to impress her and tried to fly. I jumped with a Superman-stance, but I came back to the ground, but I hovered back to the ground.

After that I was in the car with her I noticed my legs were cramped up with the dashboard. So I said to myself I needed more space for my legs and gave the dashboard a ‘push’ ( Star Wars Style ) and the car gained length, so my legs were ‘free’. Suddenly I looked at her face and I zoomed in ( what ?! ) and I could see every pore of her face. The details were amazing. From that point I woke up.

End of the Dream

When I woke up I tought I had a LD but it didn’t felt like it. Was this really a LD or was it a FLD ?

It could indeed be a FLD that was triggered by thinking about lucid dreaming. Did you clearly experience waking up from the dream, like the dream faded to black? In a real LD I always clearly notice it, but in a ND dream I don’t notice I’m waking up.

yea, excellent point BeRightBack!

The dream just continued like it was a normal dream. However it did felt different from others dreams. Like the car scene. I knew my legs were aching so I had to do something to ‘free’ my legs.

But nothing faded to black. It was not different from other ND but it felt different from other ND. Do you know what I mean? :

On a sidenote:

After this dream I have been waking up for 4 days straight after I had a dream. Does that mean anything or is it coincidence? It really helps since my DJ is getting easily filled this way. But does it say anything? Does it mean I’m going the right or wrong way?

When I try to have a LD I use the MILD technique and I succeed almost every day doing a RC around every hour. Since I like to focus on details I also try to remember everything the way it is and try to remember the way it was when I come back and see if it still the same. Don’t know if it adds anything to my LD.

Hope you guys can help me out :content:

Hmm… I think it was something like a FLD. BeRightBack has a good point. The waking up is probably a coincidence. I had it for a while, but it went away with time. Still don’t know what causes it.

Remembering details is a good idea. Maybe when you notice a little bit weird detail you could RC? It would work sort of like lucid living.

I still don’t understand how I had feelings in the dream. Like I said with the legs and stuff. I felt ‘pain’ and wanted it to go away. Does that mean anything?

And how about the waking up? Since this dream it has been 6 nights in a row that I wake up after a dream. And since yesterday I can’t even remember the dream even if I just woke up from it.

My mind is getting r*ped i guess? Maybe a little break or is this a good sign?

I’m not sure about the waking up, but the powers and such in dreams are possible to happen. Personally, a lot of dreams I have I have powers like I might in an LD (sometimes better than my LDs, but that usually only happens better in NDs with my flying.) I personally have lots of FLDs… I don’t even call them FLDs; they’re NDs to me but I still have powers. What you’re describing sounds just like an FLD to me.

I can’t really help with the waking up though… I’d just go back to sleep myself. Maybe you can use the waking up to do a DEILD… don’t move when you wake up and keep your eyes closed, and then let yourself transition back into sleep and a dream… if you can manage that with practice you can go pretty quickly back into a dream. :content:

Well at least I’m getting somewhere I guess… Found a cool method called CAN-WILD I’m giving this one a shot. If interested it can be found one the following link.

It’s an external link so I don’t know if I am allowed but here it goes:
