I recently had a very strange dream in which i was watching a monk hurry across a bridge in the middle of the night, there was nobody else around… i then became lucid and could see myself lying in my bed on my back (i usually never sleep on my back) i tried to reach over and turn on my lamp but i still saw myself fast asleep not moving… i tried for a while longer before awaking on my back. Does anybody have any ideas as to what this could mean? I awoke feeling very strange and haven’t been able to forget this dream; any comments would be very much appreciated, thanks.
It is not an OBE, it just looks like it because you dream about yourself lying in your bed. If you count that as an OBE then any dream where a DC is you is an OBE (which it is not ofcourse). The strange feeling you got when you woke up was probably caused by the fact that you thought you might have had an OBE (i remember i felt likewise when i experienced this for the 1st time).
i know that you being on your back in the dream, and waking to find yourself on your back seems like a very surprising thing (especially when you said you don’t sleep on your back). but if you think about it, your subconscious surely knew what position you were currently sleeping in, and depicted it that way in the dream.
still a cool sounding dream though
Josephine, i had many lds and dreams where i had a body double laying in my bed.
I did then test to c if it were really obes and they were not.
I let my body double levitate in the air and opened a window and throwed my body double in the garden.
then i woke up and i didnt woke up in my garden but in my bed.
Did many of those tests and always showed it were fake obes!
I have told this to 5 ppl that had the same obe like body double dreams.
And they all did my tests, and had to conlcude it had been fake obe’s from dream stage.
My experience is like that of the yogi, and that is that only below deep sleep, like a near death experience u get real obe’s.
Dream stage obes are fake.
