I’ve noticed something pretty interesting… I went to a holiday in Italy with a girlfriend of mine last summer and we were staying on a boat in a small “Marina”. It was back then when I actually first noticed my dreams, because most of them were so vivid. I didnt have a DJ at that time because I didnt know about lucid dreaming but almost EVERY single night I had really long and vivid dreams and even now, 2 months later I can recall even small details.
Now, what do you think? Was it the slight floating of the boat on the waves that made me dream so intense?
If yes, wouldnt it be possible to simulate a similar condition with a waterbed or something like that?
My guess would be that the floating was a constant factor that induced more vivid dreams. I’ve noticed many times that I remember something from my dream that was actually something happening around me(usually a sound), interpreted by my mind. It would make sense, since you cannot fall into deep sleep because of some outer disturbance and therefore you have better recall.
I’ve never used a waterbed though so I wouldn’t know about that.
Actually, its known that sleeping in unknown and new places often induce vivid and sometimes lucid dreams, as your mind is simply more active.
The floating effect could be also useful, but thats just a logical guess to my personal experience.
Cheers
I find change of scenery really affects dreams for whatever reason. Whenever i go to a friends house, camping, even sleep in a different room, i have vivid and strange dreams
Hmm okay, well, I didnt know about lucid dreaming at that stage at all.
But if sleeping in a different location really does make more vivid dreams, wouldnt actually sleeping in differnet locations of your house (Sounds pretty strange xD) an option to get more vivid dreams?
