Ways to REDUCE dream recall.

Yesterday I talked to a cousin of mine .
We crossed the topic dreams and she said that she didn`t wanna remember dreams , she had a few dreams remembered and the most of them predicted the futurure :sad: She dreamed that our granny would get cancer , and she did , etc . Therefore I ask .

Is there ways to get less DR ? :cool:

I’m just guessing here actually… but I remember from another post that autosuggestion can help in different things. Maybe it could also work for that. Before you go to sleep, set up the intention not to remember anything of your dream by telling youself you won’t recall anything… I don’t know if it would work but that’s all I have for now.

Persuade her that the future-prediction can be used for good things. It’ll come in handy… :wink:

Sounds like she has pretty bad dream recall already, and remembered those dreams because they predicted the future or because they were upsetting.

I think she should do the opposite and improve her dream recall … at least then she’d remember some nice happy dreams too :smile:

Regardless of how much effort she puts in it her subcounciousness will allways find a way.Its pointless trying to lower her recall- in times of stress or whenever her mind will decide she needs to know/be warned/take care of something, she will got vivid dreams.Not saying it will be often but it will be happening.
Instead she should read up on the topic bit more and understand about dreams.Maybe that she learns interpreting them or incubating for her likes.If shes really gifted the way she says it would be a lot better if she first understands.Going denial way with such things sint smartest thing to do.

wake up about 30min later or earlier than you usually do. I find that when i wake up during rem sleep i remember dreams more easily, so if you are already remembering dreams then chances are that you are waking up during rem. So 30 mins should put you out of that cycle.
Also have an irregular sleep cycle although it might have other consequences that you don’t like.
