WBTB/MILD keeping me awake

Lately, as I wake up from a dream, I get in a comfortable position and suggest that I will have a lucid dream or wake up before the next REM period. The trouble is, even though I’ll stop repeating the suggestions I’ll be up for the remainder of the night. I’ve been up since 3:00 AM as I woke from a lucid dream and kept suggesting that I’d have another LD during the night. It’s ruining my sleep though!!

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a point where I should just quit and not worry about it, cos I don’t wanna be suggesting it for 3 hours. Why is it ruining my sleep?

I find that if I think too hard about falling asleep, I’ll never actually get to sleep. I’d suggest to just keep the thought that you’ll lucid dream in the back of our head and not concentrate completely on it. I find I have more of a chance of LD’ing if I do that.

Haha, that makes sense. i forgot about that. I guess I got too carried away and focused too much on it!
