Regarding the WBTB method I dont understand why you need to get up for 30-90 minutes then go back to sleep, can’t you just wake up then go back to sleep, what is the reason for getting up and reading and walking round? When I did that i couldent go abck to sleep. I went to bed at 9:30 got up at 4:00 walked round, read up on LD did reality checks went back to bed and couldent go to sleep I was using the WILD method going back to bed with a little MILD and RC’s.
Any help would be great thanx!!
You don’t need to be up for 30-90 minutes. I advice you to do what fits your needs. What is essential is that you are awake and aware for some minutes. Stand up and do something. Som people can’t get back to sleep when they’ve been up for such a long time as 90 minutes which is understandable. Just go with 5 or 10 minutes and you should be fine, it works for me anyway.
And you can’t combine WILD with MILD. Maybe you just couldn’t find back to sleep because you were to concentrated? It does take some practice to adjust your sleeping habits so that it is no problem to get up and then just go back and be able to sleep again.
If you concentrate pretty much, WILD seems to be your tech of choice. Focus to keep your mind awake is the main thing behind WILD.
Im not walking around at all , Can
t , `cos my mom would go crazy …
I`ve tried once…
As Korittke says, you don’t need to be up for 30-90 minutes. About this, I would like to clarify two points:
- Pr Laberge’s experiments showed that if you get up for 60 minutes, you increase your chances to have DILD’s (not WILD’s).
- I never heard about getting up for 90 minutes. 60 was the maximum.
So you are in the same room as her? I’d go crazy…
Not the same room.
But it`s a louldly house and some nights she sleeps light , shefound me at the computr searching this sites , Worrying about my sleep …
Ah crap dude. Have you told her about lucid dreaming? Maybe you can explain to her the concept of WBTB. For me, I wake up every night after the dreams of the 3rd and 4th sleep cycle by command i gave my subconscious, but I’m not tired or anything. You just have to get used to it and more importantly, you have to get FULL sleep cycles and awaken from dreams, never deep-sleep, then everything is fine.
