WBTB X4?

I’m currently reading “The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep”. One thing it suggests is going to sleep in a certain posture, sleeping for two hours then waking up and changing the posture going back to sleep for another 2 hours, repeating the process a total of 4 times.
obviously this is similar to wbtb. Has anyone tried this, either specifically from the book, or a version of your own?

I would like to try but i’m thinking I should wait until the weekend so i’m not tired at work.

I read somewhere that the Tibetan dream yoga says to lie on your right side like the lion does. I’d be interested in hearing your results, sounds like an interesting idea.

I’ve never needed much sleep so I think i’ll try it tonight.
At the very least it should help me remember more dreams.

I tried techniques from Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s book “Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep” for a while, but I was also trying MIlD, and WILD, and other things as well. These didn’t combine well for me.

I believe that if you want to try these practices you need to focus on them for at least a month. Tenzin suggests that students start with only 1 step rather than all 4.

When I wake up from an LD I try and notice what side I was sleeping on. Every time I have found that I was sleeping on my right side. So now I try to fall asleep on this side when I use WBTB.

I tired it…

The thing is the focus required to ENTER a chakra, and visualize like he says, requires very advanced skills.

I did all the things he said, throat, third eye, heart, sacral…

and it did give some various dreams throughout the night, but it was challenging, very challenging… to do.

firstly because I woke up way more times than that, and secondly because not all the times I woke up could I go quickly back to REM.

I probably woke up six times that night and wasn’t sure exactly what to do.

I do remember the heart chakra taking me to a neat museum though, where people were teaching about Buddhism.
