WBTB

I have been trying to lucid dream using all kinds of techniques, i have noticed that my dream recall has increased a lot too. How successful is the WBTB technique and do I have to use another technique with it such as MILD. Can i have my first lucid dream tonight?

WBTB on its own is a great lucidity aid, but it works best when combined with other DILD techniques. In fact, almost all DILD techniques can be used with each other: one should be WBTBing, MILDing, RCing, autosuggesting, and keeping a dream journal all as one daily routine.

Of course you can have your first lucid dream tonight! I’m not going to be so brazen as to say that it’s a guarantee, but there’s nothing in particular stopping you from having one.

WBTB is considered very effective, but you need to have a confidence in your success rate as well.
If you expect it to work, it probably will, especially if you have a real goal prepared and know what you want to lucid dream about.

You can have a lucid dream any night from now, just feel a passion for lucid dreaming and be excited about it without rushing it and you are bound to get a lucid dream in the near future. :content:

One thing to note is that many guides say to stay up for 30-60 minutes for WBTB, but that’s usually too long for most people. The idea is to wake up enough so you don’t just fall right back asleep, but not too much so you can’t fall asleep again. So if it doesn’t work you can try to change around the duration a bit
