I’m a little bit confused at the moment. I do MILD and RC throughout the day but the times that i have been successful and become lucid have happened pretty spontaneously. I mean, all my dreams are quite weird anyway so if it occurs to me at all that i’m dreaming it just hits me… i’ve never become lucid by doing a RC (or even done one whilst dreaming!) - i’ve just kinda gone ‘oh i’m dreaming’ for no apparent reason at all.
My question(s) is - does anyone else relate to this? Why do you think it happens this way? And, more importantly how do i build on this? Is there a way that i can use this to my advantage or to induce future lucid dreams?
My Question to you is: how many times do you RC a day and what do you RC on?
Maybe you do too many RC’s and/or RC wrong thing
My suggestion is that you decide to RC on a specific thing you see (I for example RC just on uncommon events or if I wonder if Im dreaming) and try to hold down the RC’s a little
And be patient, it takes time for the RC’s to work
Maybe i over do them a bit? I RC whenever i think about it, and also when my digital watch beeps once an hour (unless i’m so involved with something that i don’t notice it!). If i did it just everytime something seemed weird that would almost never happen - i send quite a bit of time at home with the kids.
When i RC i look at my hands, or try and breath through a blocked nose, or i read something and then read it again, try and fly or check the time with my watch and other clocks around…
I’ve never gotten lucid from a random RC! I usually only use RC’s to be certain I’m dreaming after I suspect it I also have many dream where I just get lucid out of nowhere, no RC needed…
Most of my LDs are spontaneous, also. I find that the more I focus on LD’ing, however, I get more spontaneous LDs. Especially during, say, an LDing challenge.
She possibly might have had an error in her semantic. Or falsely assumed autosuggestion and MILD are the same thing (deja vu… )
how do you MILD throughout the day? MILD is meant to be done when you go to sleep?
Yes, sorry - my bad. Teach me to post in forums when the kids are acting up! I meant i do reality checks throughout the day and then do MILD or some other form of induction when i go to bed.
