I need some perpective.
I like to have a goal for when I become lucid, but I’d like to go for something a little more uncommon, and less challenging than flying.
What do you guys do? What are your ‘lucidity goals’?
everybody has lucidity goal type things in their waking life. Like…ooh wouldnt that be sweet to make a huge army and fight in new york city against badguys…ok well not that stupid…but still…lol. truth is, once you are lucid, you kind of forget all that stuff, and just do a lot of spur of the moment stuff. Like…I used to want to do things like go to my dreamscape or go to a friend…but I just end up doing random stuff like playing with mirrors or getting dirty with that girl in the back
But for the rare things that stick in my dreams…my main goal is to make each LD last longer. I’m talking years.
my main goal for my ld’s is to appear on a particular beach with a particular person… good god please happen
Usually, the clarity of your thoughts while lucid reflects the quality of the dream; I’ve known dreamers who can think as well as they can in waking life in an LD. I’ve always had the same problem you are; never sem to be able to get my thoughts in order. Still, I guess there’s nothing for it but to keep trying!
If you’re referring to that length of time in the dreamstate (which I assume you are, but correct me if I’m wrong), then this is entirely achievable; many dreamers have reported dreams that seemed to go on for weeks, months, or years (myself included ). The most common theory on this is that, since your mind tends to gloss over a lot of the mundane details that we have to pay attention to in da y to day life, certain dreams seem to take far longer then they did in waking life.
Still, I haven’t heard of anyone cultivating this phenomenon intentionally while lucid. That sounds like a great thing to go for; I wish you the best of luck!
I always have a list of goals to accomplish. right now i have:
-
Discover new lucid powers. creating a force field, shooting fire balls from my hands, any thing would be fine. The only thing(besides flying and going through walls, of course) that I’ve been able to do is telekinesis which is really cool, but I want something with more visual effects
-
Search for my symbol. A sort of dream guide quest.
3)Find a way to teleport. Something which I have never been able to do a stargate would be awesome
I like that one.
For me, I find that in LD’s, although I have stable control over the situation, I carry out what my wished were before I went to bed. (ie:making love, flying etc) But I really want to explore, instead of creating a world with my mind, I want to travel through my subconscious.
and…
-
I know flying is cliche, but I want to sprout angel wings and givrer’
-
Try spreading the ocean and walking on the floor in between two walls of water(ie: mosus)
-
Become a spy and go on a mission
- Find those god damn dinosuars >_<
- Fly >_<
- Kill somebody when in wolf form
- Fly to the moon
- Meet some gods
- summon a giant frog (Naruto style)
2)find a name for my dream team on sea life
3)re-summon the dream sword I found in my first LD
- Dream about a new name & logo for the Sealife dream team
- Visiting the Lucid Crossroads again
- Dream Tai Chi
- Searching for the girl who I strongly believe was my dream guide
Try creating a virtual building while you are awake. Plan it out on paper and become completely familliar with it’s layout. Even better, use a 3D program and construct it on computer, then you can move through it and really get it into your psyche. Once you know it like the back of your hand you can visit it in a lucid dream (just decide in your lucid dream where you will find it, and that’s where it will be). Each room can contain a portal which will take you to some other place or experience. Walk through the portal in room 1 for instance and you travel back in time. Room 2 may lead you to any sexual partner that you desire, and room 3 can take you to the worlds most interesting bar, where you can meet the person you’ve always wanted to meet (and all the drinks are on the house). This is a great way to focus your lucids and helps you to get where you want to go without spinning or any of that stuff.
This may seem a little hedonistic and shallow but that’s who I am, so just model your rooms around your own personality.
If you really work at this and the building becomes set in your imagination the results can be amazing…
Wow, that’s a really good idea, gotta try it… tomorrow >.<
My goal in lucid dreams is to… have full control and not just being aware…
And then i would do “unreal” stuff. (Like Naruto powers^_^ Kagebunshin no justsu~)
Thats IS a cool idea nickspry, I think I’ll start on that one today [/url]
- Enjoying myself (flying, etc)
- Find what I have to improve on
- Explore the dream world and interview its people
- Do strange things that defy the laws of physics
- Hanging out with my SG and dream friends
Thanks for the info guys
Here’s a list of some goals I have now;
- Design a dream ‘construct’, like in the matrix, here in real life, which I can enter once lucid
- Go on a dreamsign hunt while I’m dreaming, to get to know my dreams a little better
- Meet some ream characters
- Get better at flying
- Get better at staying lucid
I’ll keep this list updated as I progress.
I want to talk to god,But I can never find him
- Sufficiently stabilize the LD!
- Explore my surroundings
2i) Open a door (heh) - Play with a lightsaber!!!
- Concentrate on all senses one at a time
- Create 0-gravity
- See who my dream guide is (bet she’s hot!!!)
- Give my girl friend (notice the space ) a big, looong hug and kiss.
(not in order)
