well, last night i think i had HI but im not sure, it looked sorta distorted, and not very clear, and the color didn’t really seem like it was part of the image, in the end, i lost the images because i got exited and forgot to relax
so was this HI, or was i just seeing things? ?
HI is seeing things, close your eyes and think about something say a tensis ball…can you see it?
If not try it while you are drifting to sleep. you will soon see it maybe wtih the rest of the sence too.
Some people see shapes, colors, lines and lights, others see shadows, or somethines nothing at all until bam they are in a dream it all depends.
Try this, close your eyes and look left, now with your finger push gently on the right side of your eye and notice the sparkles on the left… mine sometime slook like this
wait, so HI doesn’t come to you, you have to imagine it?
im confused
does HI just happen when ur relaxing and not moving, will it just come?
Hmm, as for as HI is concerned, say when you normally try to imagine a picture all you see is black with a vauge sense of what the picture is in your mind, when HI occurs you’ll see snathes and glimpses of pictures that instead of being a vauge sense in your mind, you’ll see begin to slowly appear within the color shifts or the shifts will coalesce into a picture, and it will be very hazy and disappear just as quick, or any feelings likes your moving or spinning or flying on your bed will notify you to it as HI, and usually this is a precursor to all of the WILD I have tried.
thanks so much i think this will help me alot in my WILD
i always thought that HI just happened, so i would just spend all night waiting…
HI do “just happen”, but only if you are actually on your way to falling asleep. You can visualize something in your mind anytime of course, but it will not look as real as HI. HI are images of objects or scenes which you can actually see (or imagine to be able to see), like lvb2555 said.
They are often confused with random patterns which you may see as soon as you close your eyes, or colored shapes you see when exerting pressure on your eyeballs (phosphenes), but real HI are actually nothing like it.
So you shoudl be able to tell apart HI from “normal” things you see when you close your eyes because i think ive had HI before then
A good thing to try is to imagine something with a lot of movement from first person. This works great especially if you were in a wave pool or on a roller coaster all day. Do it long enough and you will get the sensation of movement. Not only is this really cool, but it can drag you into a LD. You will notice that the movement will get more realistic as the image becomes clearer
its basically glance images they pop up in your mind they appear 2 be fast an sometimes you would see em for 1 sec an they disappear
does HI look real, or can u tell its fake??
hmm, for me HI is just some whitish spots floating through my field of vision, so i guess it depends on the person what it looks like
though i think you can always discern it from reality
I only have HI every now and then. My last HI was that I kept falling into people’s mouths (I was really small, or they were really big). When I fell through a mouth, there was another mouth, in which was another mouth etc. A mouth-fractal, if you will
Kinda weird. It freaked me out, and the HI disappeared again.
What confuses me about HI and WILD altogether is that HI is the precursor to a dream, right? But I thought REM stages didn’t occur until about 45 min or so into sleep?
So how is it that WILD, a method where you go directly from wakefulness to an LD, is even possible?
Is it absolutely required to sleep for an hour or so, wake up, and then go through WILD, or can you really skip the first stage of deep sleep every night and go directly into a LD?
iv’e had that same question also…
could somebody please answer it?
in WBTB you can have a REM stage after only 5 minutes of sleep, that’s the key to WILD really, otherwise you’ll just have to be REALLY patient XD
and no, you can’t skip the first deep sleep cycle, and you’re not trying to by WILD
i thought i was having HI until i woke up the next morning and realized i saw pretty much the same thing when i closed my eyes IRL
haha
ok, so which is easier with WILD
the WBTB mathod<------- (lol having a brain cramp)
or just normal WILD laying in bed
The WBTB method, lying in bed.
i saw HI last night, i think…i was seeing these swirling coloers, and the real world seemed to be focusing in and out, my eyes are always half open, and it feels like im falling asleep so i think im getting somewhere
i’ve had the same thing.
but i fall asleep
