What does vivid dreaming have to do w/ LD-ing? Do they have something in common…does vivd dreaming mean you are getting close to an LD? Cuz most the time when I dream I would say they are all vivid to me.
My dreams are all highly vivid too. IMO vividness isn’t linked to lucidity. BUT if someone usually has low vividness in normal dreams then the vividness can take a big leap once they become lucid in a dream.
Vividness is often linked to good recall though.
Well thats cool to kno, I would say def. that 85% of my dreams are vivid. I see all kinds of colors, they all seem so real to me. I see lots of detail. And the majority of the time I remember my dreams as well. Which is y I thought i’d b a good candidate for sum LDs. Tonight will be my 3rd try (besides my nap yesturday), and nothing. But I am still dedicated to trying my hardest.
You will have lucid dreams, dont worry, just have patience and it will probably come when you least expect it, like on a night when you werent even trying to have them.
As well as looking on these forums and all around the internet, I highly recommend a book called “Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” by Stephen LaBerge & Howard Reingold. It is a step by step on lucid dreaming with everything you need to know. It may be at the library.
While vivid dreams are nice, I don’t really think they could be linked to an LD, unless of course you realize it’s a dream!

of course, it is better to have vivid dreams than normal ones, cause they are easier to remember.So, congrats.
Vivid dreams are linked to LD’s yeah (This looks so confusing lol, with everyone saying otherwise).
Here’s how I see it;
If you’re having a vivid dream, you are more aware of the details and can therefore easier notice the unordinary and distorted stuff.
Vivid dreams is also linked to dream recall as said, and good recall definitly helps.
