What English Sounds Like To Non-English Speakers

the thing i like about her is that unlike so many pop stars, she has actual musical talent and ability. and even David Bowie had inspirations and borrowed from other things. she may not bring anything “new”, but she’s a good performance artist and singer.

also her songs are catchy as all get out.

Sorry, if she doesn’t have anything “new to bring” as you put it, she is not original. And that is not only my opinion, but by definition she does not meet the requirements to be labeled as an original anything.

She’s a fabricated star. For the hype surrounding her, and also her unparalleled popularity in contrast to her limited and uninspiring musical abilities, she is undeservant.

Catchy tunes? Ehn, not really. Nothing personal. If you’re curious as to my taste in music, here’s one of my favorite songs. Hope you enjoy.

I’m definetly hearing random words that sound like real english…its annoying me!

You can call me the sailor! Prisencolinensinainciusol… All right!

Thats the english i can hear…its not meant to be though…AHH SO CONFUSED!..but its really catchy

That’s so… strange.

I mean, not as strange as revolution 9, but pretty strange.

YES!
i mean, i personally don´t listen to pink floyd that much, but i like it, i regard it as good music. as i consider many rock groups that were formed in the late 60´s and early 70´s really good.
i´m afraid i have to agree (at least when we are talking about popular music in the western culture) - RIP popular music.

excuse me? she is an extremely talented musician. if all you’ve heard of her is her dance music, like Poker Face or Just Dance, you need to listen to some of her acoustic stuff. her playing Poker Face or Paparazzi with just her voice and a piano is great. she’s as good a piano player as Elton John (in fact they did a duet at a music award ceremony).

and note i put “new” in quotation marks. there’s really nothing new under the sun. David Bowie didn’t bring anything “new” to the table either. all he did was bring the avant-garde to music, and people were doing that already in various forms, and he wasn’t the only one doing it. he just did it differently. i could argue he was just as much of a fabricated star as Lady Gaga.

What a catchy song. Gibberish is among my favorite languages.

Whoa. That gibberish sounded exactly like English. I felt as if I could almost catch what they were saying, even though it was gibberish.

!

Let’s freeze that goat!

I found an uncanny “translation” here.

I listened to that song without subtitles and gee, I couldn’t make sense of it. But these subtitles…match it nearly perfectly. I can’t believe it. No wonder it sounds like English…deep down it is English! Very entertaining.

OLL RAIGHT!

It’s still gibberish, but it’s english gibberish alright. I particularly like one line: “Those chickens are mine!”

Nice find, Sonia!

Ah, I love this song.

I saw this a few days ago now (hilarious  ) but that song has an uncanny Quality of getting itself stuck in my head. :nuu:

And what’s worse, I can’t sing along with it  well ok, the OLRAIT part. And your ava doesn’t help either, WCH

oll rite!
This actually was a really cool song. Im glad the rest of the world thinks that we sound like musical master minds
