What huge dreamsign have you missed lately?

Well how about this:

I was a forty year old man. I was, of course, a teacher. My students wrote poems and songs. Many of them, well, sucked, but one of them was good: Lucid Dreams. It was a song about lucid dreaming, the verse went like this:

I am aware that I’m dreaming
This is all a dream
I must remember to check reality

I was a stupid, stupid man…

This one was a bad one, it was in a FA. My mother and sister were also there (don’t know why!). Since it was morning, why not do a RC? So then I said to my sister: “Hey, maybe you’re dreaming? Do a RC.” I was NOT serious about it. She then put her fingers through her hands and I was like “WHAT??? How did you…? Erhmm…Huh?”. And still, I didn’t buy it! Hah, “I’ve seen better magic on Tv!”. Stupid me…

And ALL the times I’ve had four fingers…And that time I woke up, saw my five fingers and thought “Cool, this must be a dream!”. I litteraly jumped out of my bed and, well, guess you know happened next…

I had RC milk for breakfast.

  Don’t feel too bad, I make that stupid mistakes like that almost every night. It’s so funny because I can relate so well to this.

I keep seeing my dead dog or end up in a strange place I wouldn’t otherwise be. :wallhit:

I went outside in the middle of the night. The sun illuminated one side of my yard, and the other was pitch black. Something told me I was dreaming, but I just shrugged it off. Genius.

i was in a dream where a bunch of pepl i knew were ‘wizards’, but they’re ‘practice’ was being lucid.
i had for some reason crawled into a camp tent, and someone asked me to open it up because they had soemthing to tell me, and they said ‘what are you doing? come out here and be lucid with us!’ and i was like ‘i’m better at being lucid than any of you!’

and then i went back into normal dreaming

SG telling me to question validity (reality) of things. I should listen to it but I shrug it off with dull dream logic.

I’ve missed them all!! LOL. But one of the most obvious was just the other night.

I was driving this big black Mack Truck with gold lettering and my passenger was an uncle who died maybe 10 years ago. Talked to me in Spanish too. A language I don’t hear even when I speak to those that don’t speak English.

Geesh!!

Some good stories in here…

My subconcious its bent on keeping me from getting lucid!

Ive had so many missed dream signs that just havent clicked! The most prominent one would have to be where i got the power of telekenisis and was lifting up things around a house. Someone came up to me and said “Are you sure your not dreaming?” I just replied “no” with a quick glance at my hand (Which was too quick to even be considered an RC!)

-Peace

Get this: A few nights ago, I noticed something strange, so I counted my fingers as a reality a check. I saw that I had more than five fingers, but I DIDN’T BECOME LUCID! That was the first time a successful reality check ever failed to make me lucid.

Was filling up the car in a dream, filled the whole tank up, looked over at the bowser and it said $0.00 0L

Should’ve recognised it  I went “huh, wierd, it must be broken” and went inside the shop to complain

Last night I did a reality check, totally not expecting it to be a dream… Didn’t get lucid, but the reality check did confirm I could breath through my nose, instead of that I had a FA in which I wrote on the forum I got lucid without expecting the reality check to work… (Well, it didn’t work anyway :grrr: )

last night i was chyllin with 3 of my frinds in my dream and i told em im going home, and when i enter theres my moms dog barking at my frinds threw the door after i closed it, all of a sudden the dog barking at me and hes right next to me. so im like yellin for my mom to get that dog away to tell it im part of the family. lol. the dogs mouth was covering my hand waitin for a bite if my mom didnt know me. i was like bad dog get away. lol. then my mom comes and the dog walks away. like i herd the dog say, good thing i didnt bite him or i would have been beated.LOL. the funny part is that i dont even have a dog. my mom dont have a dog, nobody in my family has a dog. lol. idiot me!

Idont remeber ane DS but, i did had 2 times dreams about other people performing lucid dream stuff in my dream. Its really strange.

One was that a girl shouted go away sea, and the sea vanished.

Yesterday i was making formulas of how much chance you have to become lucid in a dream depending on your motivation and skills

Had this one recently:

I was at some kind of party, but outdoors. I was talking to some girl I know. The moon was shining bright. It was very big, much bigger than ususal, and accompanied by clouds which made a very great picture out of this.
Then she said: “OH, LOOK, HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS IS, YOU HAVE DO PAINT THIS INTO YOUR DREAM DIARY!!” I said, “yes, indeed, I will paint it into my dream diary.” (sometimes I draw some sketches IRL, but no colored paintings. I’m not very good at painting colored pictures at all.)
Then we sat down and engaged in some kind of erotic interactions… (which will not happen IRL either… I enjoyed it in the dream, but… no, not her, although she’s quite pretty  )

I just did not make the logical connection, that something, what is to be put into the dream diary, has to be a dream! :grrr:

I had a dream in which a friend of mine is talking to another copy of him. The first demonstrated a behaviour my friend would usually behave and the other replied with another of my friend’s usual responses.

Not only did i introduced them to each other, I even turned to each of them and thought, “thats how he likes to behave”!!!

Piece of sh*t, gotta beef up on affirmations

I have a lot of near misses, still. Recently I had a dream in which I checked the clock. A few minutes later, I checked it again and then again. I noticed that the time was not behaving normally, a sure sign of dreaming. I started talking with a stranger who was standing in my bedroom (another really obvious sign) and he said, “You know, this could be a dream.” I spent a couple of minutes disagreeing with him, until I woke up.

Other times, you just realize it is a dream.

I miss a lot of obvious dream-signs–I don’t realize it until I wake up and I can’t help but laugh at myself.

It’s usually the transitions that get me. Like, just recently, I was in this mansion/condo place and walking down the hall from my bedroom and then I was in a daycare hallway. Then I go through a door and I’m back in my room…

Or just this morning, I dreamt a Domi Li and me were going through this cemetary and we came to this creepy Amityville-style house and from first glance there was an open side-yard and small front porch. The porch got bigger when we went up to it–oh, we had to climb an iron-wraught fence that just appeared–and when we tried to escape from some Sirius Black-type guy with these vicious dogs all of a sudden a fence was blocking the side-yard! I was like, WTF!? I need to get out of here!

Meh, maybe not too obvious–but, these are just the recent ones…

I am with a friend in a helicopter and he is piloting.
I’ve never been in a helicopter and my friend is no pilot. :eh:

We are getting low on fuel, so my friend flies us down to a gas station.

The attendant comes out and fills up the helicopter. He tells us it costs $449! :help:

No LD, but I got my first helicopter ride

But the obvious clue was that you got away only paying $449. It takes that much anymore to fill a Jeep Cherokee!

I stepped out of the flat to the stairs. It was pretty dark, so I wanted to switchr the light on. At the place, where the lightswitch normally is, there were two lightswitches: The “normal” one and the second “modern one”, which had a blue LED-light on it, so you can find the switch easily in the dark.
I tried both of them, but they both did not work, it remained dark. I thought something like “Oh no, they already disabled the old lightswitch, although the new one still does not work.”

I think I also thought something like “such stupid things should happen only in dreams, not in reality.”
