What is going on...?

Ok so heres the deal. I’ve been trying mainly WILD for quite a while now (about 4 -5 months now?) and so far I still haven’t had a successful wild. I’ve gotten really close(atleast I think so) but i still havent made it, for some reason i quit or i hear some crazy noise like a cat or the furnace turn on and i lose concentration and quit. Aside from that i’ve also tried MILD which i don’t think worked seeing as how i don’t remember being lucid in the dream and i’ve also tried WBTB but that never works as i just turn off the alarm and go straight to sleep without a second thought. Heres the thing though…ever since reading about lucid dreams my dream recall has been increasing a lot (from almost none to vividly remembering scenes) and even more so when i fall asleep during or after attempting a wild. What I want to know is if i am getting close to becoming lucid as my dreams have went from having dreams where i’m trying to move my body but im not moving at all and very dizzy(not actually me but dream me) but in some of my dreams in the past few months it seems i have more control of my body(yet again not actually me but dream me.) Also it seems my dreams are more fun and they relate with a lot more things that I would like to do while lucid! For example I really want to have a lucid dream where the whole town turns to zombies except for me and a few friends and just go all out like resident evil or dawn of the dead or somthing and in my dream last night I was in a hideout with some people and a zombie dog went after me and when i went to the washroom and looked in the mirror there were maggots crawling on my skin and my flesh was rotting away and freaked out! Then i looked back at the mirror a minute later and i was normal!

What I want to know is if i might have been partially lucid at all or if im getting closer or maybe any tips on wilding…

Also 1 quetion: Is it possible to WILD while listening to music through earphones? I find it helps me from other distractions yet i dont know if you actually can do it…

Really the biggest tip is probably to try WILD with WBTB :bored: If you can’t do WBTB it doesn’t make WILD impossible, it is just considered generally harder by most people. The other option is to try WILD in a nap in the afternoon, this is supposed to make it easier too. From personal experience I have gotten my best HI in afternoon naps; so I’m inclined to agree.

Yes, you can WILD whilst listening to music. It does help some people, but not others. If you feel it helps you there isn’t harm in trying it at least :wink:

ah alright thanks! I definately would try listening to music but…someone stole my new ipod nano from a party! :sad:

I managed WILD once through trying very hard, but then in the last week it’s happened twice almost by accident. I think you just need to keep LDing in mind and eventually it will get easier to do it.
