I’m not even christian and that’s what I believe will happen.
Look, there are four possibilities, either nothing will happen, there will be major destruction and despair for a long time, and we will slowly recover, some wacked out apocolypse will happen, OR we may all simply die. And the fact that so many things predict it make things make it worst. (heh… heh… were screwed, hopefully not though!)I t wout be the dawn of a new “Age” things will just change.
(You better believe I will be prepared, just in case)
You know what I think will happen?
We’ll be seeing people going crazy all over the news on this day. Some fearing the end, some other people saying stuff about a prophecy (a few of them actually), we’ll see a bunch of stuff like documentaries about the date, and some movie about 2012 will be out by then. Infact, I’m 100% sure this will happen.
Aside from that, I’ll try to be prepared as much as possible. I think the world will undergo a shift. It won’t be the end of the world, but something big is going to happen. Even if there is no shift, internally within my family there certainly will be… God, I hope the meds are strong enough for my dad and he doesn’t lose it completely. December 21st is a very significant date in our family and my dad already knows about 2012… 
I don’t think anything will happen… it will be Y2K all over again… or June 6th of 2006…
this prediction is diffrent Elevator Man, Myan predicted it, I ching sorta predicts it, bible code predicts it, Web Bot predicts it, and a whole bunch of other things predict it, even scientest say there is going to be some rare cosmic happening in 2012, like the earth completing a woble, that takes a long time to happen. Just more bad news for us.
The bible code is crap. John Nash thought he was finding hidden messages from terrorist in his news paper and Glen Beck thought the 20 dollar bill caused 9/11… chances are in a book like the bible your bound to see codes… doesn’t mean they mean anything more than a coincidence… However the bible does pretty much say that anyone that tries to predict the future is a fool. Web bot is still pretty much the internet and we know how great that is for predicting the future -.-. Also about the cosmic predictions… of coarse something cosmic is going to happen… they built the calander around astronomy. Perhaps thats why it ends at this date, doesn’t mean anything bad will happen here…
There have been so many end of the world predictions over the last 100 years and none of them have come true, and they all have their own bodies of evidence pointing towards them, codes, ancient mystical knowledge and all that, but inevitably all the evidence is twisted to point in one direction.
It’s a load of rubbish.
If the world does end any time soon I doubt it will be written in some ancient prophecy, I would think that the first we’ll know about it is when Yellowstone blows or when someone at NASA says, “hey guys anyone else noticed that giant rock headed straight for us?”

Well interestingly an asteroid called 99942 Apophis is supposed to be within range of earth by 2012… but their saying that impact is much more likely in 2029 and that the impact will be no more devastating than the tunguska blast, at worst it can mabey make winter a little longer… no end of the world there. 
Yeah there might be an asteroid in collision course with the Earth and what I believe would be a holocaust of Christians who doesn’t follow the Antichrist.

I cant bellieve i forgot to mention this but were all going to die whether 2012 appocolypse or not, if we continue what were doing. Either Globle Warming, or simple human evil is going to destroy us. Globle warming for sure, have you seen all the glaciers and ice thats allready started melting and disapearing? Yep, yep, yep life is good!
Global warming isn’t going to kill us… I mean sure its going to cause some life changes for sure… But think about what your saying… the Earth warming a little each year and some different shore lines is really going to kill an entire species that have made it this far?
Well yeah, but globle warming is causing:
-sea levels to rise eating up a good amount of land
-Hurricanes will become more powerful becuase of the heat, soon there will be new catagories, because hurricanes will get so bad.
-Globle Warming is happening Fast, much faster than predicted for various reasons.
-Globle Warming will cause major climate change. The level of fresh water and salt water in the ocean will be disrupted becuase of the melting ice, thus screwing with an important ocean current i cant remember.
-It may be harder to grow food, we will need protection, oh yeah did i tell you about the theory that Globle Warming could cause the next Ice Age? As wierd as that sounds.

Global warming is pretty much a natural phenomenon, sure we’re helping it along a bit this time but people seem to forget, we’ve already survived one Ice age, and back then we didn’t even have central heating 
Sensationalist media (which is all media these days) is just trying to scare the sh!t out of us. Think about all the stuff over the last few years, we’re all going to die of sars, never happened, we’re all going to die of Avian Flu, well that one got swept under the rug pretty quickly too? and global warming, jeesh, the temperature has been rising steadily for how long exactly? Perhaps we should remember that after 1998 temperatures dropped sharply and only in 2005 did they get back to that high, i believe that 2006 was colder than 2005 too. So does that mean that global warming has reversed, and that we are all in fact going to plunge into freezing temperatures within 20 years time? No, it means that the temperature of the Earth is, and always has been, a variable.
Of course the big freeze is what scientists were warning us about in the seventies, after temperatures peaked in the early 40’s and then dropped off sharply before rising again in the early 60’s and then dropping off sharply again, before rising again… oh wait, I see a pattern emerging here.
Anyway, I live on a hill. bring on the flood!
I will say it’s somewhat irritating that the Gulf stream has decided to shift and thus bring tornado alley to my humble area of England, but we built our houses out of bricks, they can take a bit of wind
Sorry about this off topic rant, just a couple more points, Global Warming statistics (there’s a word that means you can definitely trust it, did you know 78% of statistics are made up?) have roughly a 400% margin of error. I mean seriously, If a builder came to do a job and said to you, well it’s going to take two weeks, but it might take eight weeks, you’d tell him to get lost right?

I’ve been researching this since when i first heard about it back in 1998 and i’ve come to the conclusion that something big will happen.
Here are the facts, that can be scientifically verified:
1.) sun having solar maximum
2.) solar system moving into central equator of our [new] galactic disk, sun in perfect alignment with central sun of galaxy. As our solar system moves further into the central equator more centripetal and centrifual force is exerted on it, which could cause pole flips (we are well overdue)
3.) precession of the equinoxes, earths north pole will be pointing towards the star Polaris within the region of Aquarius, bringing us out of the age of Pisces and into the age of Aquarius.
4.) venus transit - venus passing between the sun and earth creating a sort of eclipse (not visible of course but this transit only happens once every 7 years… just so happens 2012 is one of those years)
5.) many planetary alignments, the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto will all be aligned in the sky on 21st. Dec. 2012. I actually used a program called Stellarium to verify this, and have a screenshot of it.
6.) our solar system is part of a dead galaxy known as the sagitarius dwarf galaxy that is merging with the milkyway, which is why the milkyway appears on an angle in the sky at night. Also explains global warming and why other planets like mars and pluto have been getting warmer.
7.) earths magnetic field is decreasing due to the decreasing spin of the earth and greater wobble effect.
now all that information alone is enough to make me thing “ok something big will happen” wouldn’t you agree? lets have a look… sun having solar maximum while the earth has a weakened magnetic field with extra force being exerted on us due to our position in the [new, and more energetic] galactic disk… is not good. The facts speak for themselves, but what sort of electromagnetic effect could this new more energetic galaxy that we are moving into have on us as conscious bio-electro-magnetic lifeforms? this is where the belief comes in that we move into a higher density where we attain enlightenment and spiritual abilities.
