What is your favourite non-lucid dream?

I searched everywhere and didn’t find a topic like this, so mods, please truit me if you find one.

List your favorite ND’s here.

Some of mine:

it does seem like an obvious topic to miss;
after all, most of us don’t start lucid, and at least for me these few precious dreams are the source of interest and motivation for further exploration of the dream realm via lucid dreaming.

unfortunately i can’t write a compelling story of these two favorites of mine, for they took place several years ago, and were pretty short back then and there, although i’ll try to share the general feeling.

the first dream; as I am now I remember only a fragment, an image of that which back then i told myself to remember… and hope one day to understand.
that image and the associated feeling is… serene?
it is the kind of feeling you get when you’re looking at a lighthouse during a storm (another image I have, this one from the waking reality), you’re standing there looking at the waves crashing over the peer, yourself being soaked in rain… and you just stand there, marvel at the scene, feeling exactly that emotion.

you’d think that after something like that it’d be tough to meet the standard, and it is.
but then again music in a dream is a pretty incredible experience;

so there I am, middle of my room, covered in cold sweat and heavily breathing in the middle of the night. on my mind was not the half-sleep fear of the fall, but rather the melody which i could still faintly recall…

so there you have it. other than these two dreams, the (only) other life-changing ones have been my first and second (currently last) lucid dreams, although neither of them quite compare to these two.

and I do have to thank you for making me recall as much as possible about these dreams.

I have 2 favorite ND, because they are pretty the same, but yet different…

So the first:

The dream stared with my dad, cousin and me in my room, I was doing something on the computer and in one moment my dad said: " come here fast, you have to see this!", he was standing right next to a window. I get up and walked to the window to see what was my father trying to show us. I was amazed with what I saw. There were huge clouds moving really fast, they were a little bit gray but mostly blue.

But the most important part of the dream that makes it my favorite one is when some kind of a round shaped object came trough those clouds, it changed colors, first was blue that green and yellow, and while changing colors object starts to pulsate, and when those waves come to us they passed right trough us. And in that moment I felt some sensation that I can’t explain [I even started the topic about that feeling and sensation and about pulsating objects, it was one of the most unexplainable feelings, it was like all good and positive feelings were experienced at once]… After first wave dad started to panic and he closed the window but waves were coming trough walls and trough window, after few more waves I woke up.

The second one was similar:

I was on the beach, with few people but I only knew one friend, and we were laying on deck chairs, and I’m not sure if it was a sunrise or sunset, either way the Sun was huge, and looked like it was solar eclipse, and after some time the Sun start to pulsate and the story is pretty the same as in previous dream, but waves were much stronger, and by last wave I was kicked in space and I believe I actually had that kind of expression on my face —> :woo: ! And then I realize that I’m dreaming but I woke up immediately, so it’s mostly the ND…

Peace!

This was a short one but really enjoyable.

short but fun dream
There wasn’t much to see. But there was a vortex like a gentle tornado. I could see it from a distance, but at the same time I was aware of being in it. It descended on me picked me up gently spun me around and placed me on the ground again. This happened about four times. All the time I still had the two viewpoints of it.

Usually, my best dreams are the ones in which I’m having sex. But it’s not really the kind of thing I’d describe here. But I once had a dream that was really vivid and I liked it because I remember doing something which is impossible IRL.

I was in a grocery store with my girlfriend and we were walking through the alleys. Then she told me that she could use telekinesis and that she could teach to me. I accepted gladly and she showed me what to do. Then, I began practicing on slices of bread. I liked the feeling of being able to make the things move with my thoughts. When I woke up, I was really disapointed when I understood it was a dream and that I couldn’t really use telekinesis.

I wont post my actual dreams here, as I write a lot, so I’ll elaborate on my favorite ND structures.

I enjoy it when I fall in love with a girl in a dream, and have many beautiful, heart-warming moments in the dream, and wake up so grateful and still so loving.

I love my epic, spiritual like dreams, where I go on some voyage or journey and encounter mystical like creatures and experiences.

I like it when I embrace my dark (No, not evil.) side in dreams, when I dance with the spirit of my fear and inner shadows, and accept them lovingly as a part of me.

I like really good, complex fighting dreams, like my war machine dream. The moves, the action, the energy…all very invigorating and exciting.

I like long dreams with well-structured plots, or seemingly well structured plots, like the one where I was a stone cold secret agent.

I like, wild, animal-istic dreams, where I generally act on my primal instincts, and transform into some awesome creature, usually a werewolf. The feelings are so…clean, and enjoyable…powerful, it’s like a drug, being in that state.

I like my hunter dreams, where I usually am hunting something evil, of a spiritual nature. Some nightmarish demons and ghouls only my mind could dream up, such intensity and I don’t know…purpose…I never hunted before, and I will not kill an animal for sport, but I enjoy the feeling of being a hunter, hunting down something for the good.

One more I can think of; I like my scary dreams. i don’t have nightmares any more, I have scary dreams. I love the dread, the absolute horrors, the nightmarish beings from the darkest places of my mind, I love seeing them come into form, I love feeling their presence. Yes, they scare me, but I love them for some reason. I like the way they look. I usually wake up thinking something like “Oh my ing god…that…was……those were some awesome monsters.”

Well, my favourite moment in an ND (although it turned it into an LD was:

But my favourite ND was HERE!

Some runner ups were… My two possible SD’s and asking Keanu Reeves for toilet paper among others.

I find it hilarious you had to do a reality check after a cat in a white cape. XD

I’ve had a few fave non lucid dreams

  1. I supposedly drunk the most intoxicating drink in the world
  2. Gigantic angel visits me in a dream
  3. Eating shrooms with a friend
