What Is Your SC Like?

Have you met your SC? If so, what are they like? Describe appearance, personality, name, anything you wish. You can also detail how you talk to your SC and how you meet them and how you have met them.

Since I started the topic, I may as well start with my SC. :tongue:

I first met my SC in an LD. It was probably the best LD I’ve had in terms of how high the lucidity was, and I’d done some flying in the dream until I couldn’t go through a window after going through a wall. I landed so as not to lose lucidity and went into this schoolroom. (Yes, it was a school.) There were some DCs there, but I decided not to talk to them. I instead decided to talk to my SC after increasing lucidity a bit. I concentrated on summoning them for a moment, and turned around to find someone sitting at a table talking to one of my DCs. He was nicely dressed, with what I think was an oxford shirt, glasses, and brown hair with a ponytail. I’m not sure about what he had for pants; I didn’t really see them. I asked him if he was my subconscious, and he said yes. He then proceeded to show me two rows of different-colored cloth squares and started explaining the different types of worship with them. Dunno why. :razz:

I met him a second time in another LD. I was at some mix between a McDonald’s and a regular restaurant, and I was back in the grill area, checking my schedule. For some random reason, I watched the schedule to see if the numbers would change. They did, and I realized I was dreaming. I then started back up through the grill area, trying to summon my SC to the lobby area hoping he’d be there. I got up to the counter and saw him sitting at one of the tables, so I went over to talk to him. I found it interesting since he started out with prayer. I never expected how he started it, though. He didn’t have a ponytail that time, I think, but he was still dressed nicely. At some point I think he acquired a white lab coat or something; dunno. o.o After then, we started talking, and I asked him his name. He told me it was Vebicular. I wanted to write it down but knew I couldn’t take the paper with me to waking life. I decided to write it down anyway, as it would help me remember it better. There was some Mexican newspaper, so I wrote it down a few times on that. It stayed the same each time, though it seemed as if I had some trouble writing the right letters. I soon woke up and immediately wrote down the name first thing in my DJ.

Lately I’ve been trying to talk to him while I’m awake and about. I might say something or ask him something and I’ll listen for what he has to say. It’s really hard sometimes to figure out whether I made it up or whether he really said it; however, listening to him has helped my golf game even when I doubted him but still followed what he said. :tongue:

So there’s a bit about my SC. How about the rest of you?

I have met my SC in LD’s but I simply looked at a friend DC and said “hey, you’re my SC right?” so my SC doesn’t have a specific look, this far. I haven’t asked for a name either…

While awake I try to empty my head and listen while I’m in bed at night. I “hear” some sentences but they’re always random and make no sense. I’ve tried asking questions but get randomness as an answer.

I just remembered yesterday though, on my first nights LD’ing I tried doing something I saw in a book: ask my SC what a DC represented in that groggy state right before you fall asleep. The difference from emptying your mind is that here I tried to create an answer but without thinking (can’t really explain it)… anyway I got a cool answer:

ME: “What does F represent in my dreams?”
SC: “Your ability to change, from one to two, from old to new!” :lol:

I’ll try getting in contact with my SC and post anything here. :smile:

When I want to speak to the subc, I usually address the nearest character. Sometimes they go Buzz Lightyear and tell me they’re real, sometimes they go actors studio and start making remarks about the Executive Producer, and ever so often they go Metatron and bring me subc’s voice, live.

This reminded me of the Season 2 Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD commentary, where creator Joss Whedon makes this running joke about one of the actors going around the set without pants because this actor was rarely shot from the waist up.

Perhaps faith is the thread that keep the tattered fabric of society together. :peek: Vebicular seems to be very pious.

My SC person-ified was Ben Vereen, broadway singer/dancer/actor. Particularly his role of lead chorus member in Pippin, meaning he was classy but comfortable with dishing out Attitude, and just a little wicked because he knows everything but chooses to stay in the background.
When I saw the thread title, though, I was preparing to answer my dreamscapes, the environment, basically the world… which probably is more my SC than a DC could be :wink: I rarely get vast, sprawling, breathtaking and totally alien dreamscapes. They’re usually cluttered or labyrinthine, sometimes just taking what I’ve seen from waking life and spinning it a little odd.

Elly: That’s interesting how you tend to view your SC as your dreamscapes and environments instead of a person. Vebicular didn’t look like anybody I’d heard of or seen; he just showed up. :tongue: I would likely think of him as a person anyway since I do tend to talk to myself sometimes. :rofl:

This morning in my LD I tried to summon my SC by closing my door and openning it, saying it would be behind it. Failed three times! I asked three DC’s PLUS my reflection in the mirror what my SC’s name was but got silence as an answer.

Aww… that sucks. Maybe his name is Silence? :razz: Anyway, I haven’t had any LDs lately so I haven’t gotten to see Vebicular again. I really need to start working a bit harder on my LDs and DJ… I haven’t been talking to him much in daily life either; I need to get back to that, too.

So far I’ve met my SC two times:
One was in my second LD, and i was in a park, thinking that this would be the perfect place to memt him: and so night fell, ENORMOUS buses appeared, blinding me with their lights, and from them various people got off, and i get each one was representative of a part of my personality (and some had quite the nerdy face :tongue:), but i continued walking through them, so they split and, in the middle, found what I thought at the time was my SC: it looked like a cartoon fashion designer i once saw on Cartoon Network, and i can’t figure out why. (he was looking at himself on a mirror, too :razz:) I woke up immediately after that.

Second time, i actually met him in a hotel room, and this time he was a round guy, with curly hair, very nice and helpful ^^ I asked him a couple questions, like what to do this October, and he answered to continue with the WBTB practice (well :grin:, but then he got distracted talking to N. ! :nuu: I seriously didn’t see that coming. i woke up shortly after.
