Personally i have never been able to willingly have a LD as of yet, it’s usually been a dream i am having where i feel deja vu or i know i have had the exact dream before and i think “oh hold on, this must be a dream”
I was just wondering what everyone else’s triggers are, i’m not talking about the one’s you have created. Like Reality tests or anything like that just ones that have happen accidentally.
I rarely plan an LD. The sleep isn’t as restfull & I usually need the rest. As far as likelihood of LD, light sleep is a sure-fire (i.e. an afternoon nap or forcing oneself to sleep.)
In a dream I don’t use dreamsigns or any of that stuff. It just happens naturally, always has. Things just look a little different & - oh! this is a dream. Sometimes my vision is too clear or not clear enough. Sometimes everything is tinted a little, or the world is too open.
An overly inviting sky is probably the most automatic indication for me.
Yeah…normally I have the problem with unable to see, its like somethings on my glasses, so I take em off…and still I cant see…I have to go about dreaming with my eyes close…
also when something scary happens, like your all alone. or something chasing me…I question wether its real and then realizes…wait its not real…this is a dream…hehe
I don’t think anything ever triggers it. I just sort of become lucid randomly. I think this is because my mind is sort of on the edge of lucidity in dreams all the time… like its looking for it maybe? And then just every once and a while I manage to get detangled from the reality of the dream and become aware that its a dream.
I’m the complete opposite. I often dream abouts LD’s and have fake lucid dreams naturally and still I don’t become lucid. For me, lucidity is a result of preparation always. I just won’t realise, whatever I dream of, unless I have done MILD beforehand (although twice I have had completely spontaneous LD’s).
They’re so rewarding, I want this to happen more often. The only thing I have thought of so far that might work is subliminal messages.
