What was this?

Lately I’ve been experimenting with Binaural Beats to get into a deeper sleep. Last night I wasn’t trying for anything except just falling asleep. I was listening to the tones behind a stream of water to get relaxed. After awhile I started feeling tingling and a bit later my legs went numb. I tried to move them but couldn’t. I then tried to open my eyes and I couldn’t. I tried again and it felt like I opened them but I could tell they were still closed. When it felt like I opened my eyes I saw this explosion of gray squiggles and it felt as though I was tipping over(kind of like leaning against a wall but with no wall). What exactly was this experience?

Wich Hz did you listen?

last night i was listening to 7hz Pure and tried WILD with that, after 3 hours i woke up.
When i removed my headphones, the binaural beats where still going on that was when i noticed that i was actually in dreaming, was a pretty cool experience

Cheers.

That was SP my friend . You might want to look into WILD cause you almost had an LD. Next time that happens just relax and wait a little and before you know it you will be in a dream! :content:

I’m trying binaurals as well. Just ended a seance of 30 min 4Hz then smoothly up to 10Hz. During the time the frequency was rising, I felt like my body was sinking into a cloud of cotton.
I use binaurals to WILD because sometimes the beat translates itself into HH-s. For example, when listening to 4Hz I heard a voice say something like: “Where are you going to run run run run…” and the “runs” were the beats. HH-s are fun to listen to and watch even though I usually drive them away automatically. But it was maybe my seventh seance so I’m new to this actually and even these effects are sign of success for me.

tomk121 - I have no idea what frequency. I’m using some app on my iPod touch and the setting was on sleep.

GnarGnar - So next time I should wait longer before trying to open my eyes?

Also is this supposed to work when you are first going to bed? That was when I was doing it.

Not normally, I only get SP when I first go to bed if I’m extremely exhausted.

Next time you try it, do it with WBTB. This is because when you first go to sleep you enter NREM sleep, where you aren’t dreaming.
