When Auto suggestion fails.

I’ve been too busy with college recently to focus on LD but now that I’ve finished i have plenty of time.
BUT!
Over that time I’ve been using auto suggestion to help me sleep just repeating “I will remember my dreams” normally helps me fall asleep but when i wake up i don’t normally try and remember the dream so now when i go to sleep even if i really try to mean it when i say “I will remember my dreams” my brain just sort of ignores it and i won’t remember anything in the morning.
Is there any other way to improve dream recall

Do you have a Dream Journal, Minato? They’re extremely helpful. Even if you only remember small bits and pieces then you should write them down. It’ll create a habit that your mind will realise is you trying to remember your dreams. Laying in bed for five minutes trying to remember them has also helped me, and sometimes recall can be triggered by the things around us. (Like I had a dream where tictacs were involved, and remembered when I saw tic tacs). Don’t stress and remember that writing down anything will help you!

this morning i randomly got my second lucid dream when i woke up i wrote it down, but when i came back to check later it wasn’t there
I WROTE IT DOWN IN A FALSE AWAKENING!..sigh at least i can remember fragments of it :sad:

Aww Minato!! At least your subconscious realised that you really want to write the dreams down! Don’t worry, I’m sure now that you have at least fragments your dream recall can only get better from here. Remember, everything counts!
