Where can I get a cheap EEG?

I really have wanted to have an EEG for a long time now… I mean, I just can’t help but wonder what in the world my brain does when I do various activities…

does anyone know of some sort of way to buy 2nd hand EEGs and things like that for fairly cheap?

A site about building a eeg for between 200 and 400 USD. Depending on where you buy the parts. I would build one but I think that it’s way too expensive.

They are also working on a version that hooks up to the pc soundcard. It should be alot cheaper than the other one.

Jeff had a EEG machine for 10 years. Perhaps he knows where to get one… Otherwise, you could call the hospital or a sleep research center. They’ll know :content:

There are some hospital supply outlets where you might be able to rent one, or perhaps buy an older outdated unit. I don’t think you have to be a doctor or hospital to get one.

i can’t even properly service my guitar

building one is sadly out of the question… unless i want to electrocute myself… which i don’t particularly…

i wish i could find a center that would pay me to do lots of LD research on me, I can LD every night so I’d be a lot better than most any volunteer they could find

i’m probably one of the better LDers in my region, probably, not to be egoistic or anything, but I don’t think LDing is very big out here, there are probably some natural and maybe a few really disciplined meditators that are lightyears better than me, but for the most part I think I’d be a highly desirable candidate for reasearching, and I’d be willing to participate, probably

i wouldn’t want to do sleep deprviation studies though :confused:

i had an EEG done at a sleep specialist. They found out that my brain goes into REM within minutes of me going to sleep. I wonder why im not better at lucid dreaming…
