Which Book to Read First?

I just got Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming by LaBerge and Creative Dreaming By Patricia Garfield, which book do you think makes more sense to read first? by the looks of it EWLD has more “How To’s” than Creative Dreaming…anyways, jus lemme know if you’ve read them both before

EWLD is “The” Lucid Dreaming book, so it would probably be a good idea to read that first. Also a lot of people make references to it here on the forum, so you’ll have some background info.

Especially since what you probably really want are the techniques. Lucid dreaming does not seem to be a particularly active field of study, so EWLD is not at all dated.

Any psychologists / grad students in the house? Does the field of psychology even really care much about dreams?

Pr Antonio Zadra at the Sacre-Coeur Hospital in Montreal, Canada, seems to be the only one to continue experiments about LD’ing. There are some studies on dreams, as you can find in the Lucidity Theory section. Look at Snape’s topics.

xGriMx, IMO a girl would prefer to read Creative Dreaming, which is more inspiring. EWLD is more technical and scientific. As you have both, just decide if you prefer to read the inspiring book first, or keep it for the end.
