I find that i rarely dream about my friends, but dream more frequently about random ppl.
Do you find this?
My friend is in most of my dreams.
But usually there are more random people than friends. Just like IWL.
I tend to dream about people that I kinda know, but not really that closely. (ie. some guy I knew three years ago)
I find that my family, most often my sister and my mother, make appearances in my dreams. There are also instances of those who either make rare appearances, or those that I may just dream about once or twice. Over the summer, and for some time before then, as many members already know, one certain person made frequent appearances in my dreams, but I’ve noticed recently that his numbers are going down. 
I have the slightest feeling that someone new will replace him—and luckily, none of you even know the new suspicion, because I’m glad to say that it is finally a person that I know from real life.

Random people and friends, most of the time. Sometimes family too. And some cool rare occasions, other "me"s.
Usually I find my best friends in a dream. Actually, it’s quite rare if they’re not in the dream. My family members pop up quite a bit, and my pets are in constantly. I don’t really get many random people…
so its 3-2 to the people who dream about random ppl as opposed to friends and family, a roughly even split… i wonder what that says about our psychologies?
I guess I’m in the middle. There are alot of appearances of my friends, and many random people. The rare ones are the celebrities.
I get a lot of random people too, though when I do dream of people I know its of friends that I talk to a lot. Last year, a guy that was in every one of my classes kept popping up in my dreams.
I only dream about my boy friend and people I’ve only seen once in my life. Occasionally family members, but that’s if I get lucky. O_o I would much rather spend a dream with my best friend rather than these random people 
So yes I can relate to what you’re saying, Last Man Standing. 
I usually have one or two people who I know very well, a couple who I know, but not well at all, and the rest of the dreamscape is usually filled with random people.
I few common people crop up such as friends and slightly less often, family.
Occasionally I dream about school friends I haven’t seen in a long time and wonder why I still give them such priority in dreams. I often dream about them in a series of dreams that can last all week and each dream seems to be connected to the last (very strange). Then I get perhaps a month of remembering no dreams at all!
Very rarely I will dream about a random person and their role in the dream will nearly always be very central which I find odd…
