It seems odd that over 12 years a certain scientist I read about had just 354 LDs. Do the math. 365 days a year x 12 years = 4380 days. 4380 days divided by 354 LDs = one LD every 12.37 days. How come we can’t LD every night we sleep? Pushing that point even further, how do we know that life isn’t just a “believable” dream? Is there really such thing as reality? How do we know that dreams aren’t reality and RL is dreaming?
Do you think so-called “dreams” and so-called “reality” are connected? Like beyond the basics such as if you eat a lot of pickles you will eat pickles in your “dream”. Could there be serious meanings in “dreams”? Could “dream” life be the future? Ooohh that last gave me an idea. Scientists should try to come up with a way to put everyone in a permanent dream state, in a World Wide shared “dream”. The problem would be keeping everyone alive outside of Dreamworld. We could go comaatose and live for 40 days, but I don’t like the sound of a 40 day lifespan.
I believe that the dream world is an actual “world” like a “layer” like a parallel universe because they feel so real! Or maybe when we dream we dream future events or past events or maybe events that we would like to experience that we are not able to experience in life so its an alternative world/parallel.
So you’re saying that we can actually predict future events by dreaming? That’s kind of scary, but still pretty cool. I’ve honestly never had a LD but I’ve had FLD’s and ULD’s (and obviously ND’s). I’m going to go WILD in an hour or so so hopefully it will work this time.
I’m not saying we CAN predict. I’m saying that there are theories out there and I feel like I have experience this before. I have heard of three levels of dreaming:
I. Recall: being able to remember dreams.
II. Cognitive Dreaming: Lucid dreaming.
III. Precognitive Dreaming: Dreaming of future events.
I have had tremendous deja vu before but it wasn’t the ordinary kind it was like If I had dreamed this before. I have one good example: I had dreamed that someone at my work died or someone at school and guess what happened…unfortunately one of my co-workers died…creepy huh? I cant tell you that my evidence proves this but I can say that I believe it is possible.
Wow, I thought being lucid was as close to spooky as it could get. But predicting events before they happen is craaaaazy. How come your brain can predict future events? Wouldn’t that mean that if scientists could find a way to read this part of the brain then we could possibly stop disasters from occuring before they could do any harm? This is getting good lol. I have to ask, are you a WILD’er?
This person is very frank and talks from his True experiences.
and he also says we have two lives: one in the Dream World and one in this Physical “reality”.

I like the way he thinks! But I still never got an answer to my original question. Why aren’t we lucid every night? Is it possible to WILD or FILD every night and therefore become lucid every night?
I believe the answer to the above question is unity with the conscious and subconscious mind. Your subconscious collects details and subliminal messages that you don’t even consciously realize are there, and therefore in your dreams you can predict future events before they happen. Say, for example, one of the malls that I used to go to with friends had its name changed from Parkland Mall to the Red Deer Centre. The night before it happened, however, my brother had a dream where they changed the names around to the Red Deer Centre.
(This reminds me [off-topic, though] in social class today, we were doing a lesson on advertising and subliminal messages in ads.[/off-topic])
I believe it is possible, but only with practice. See, the reason why we don’t naturally become lucid every night is because we don’t naturally consciously think of every single thing that happens during the day (i.e. your heart pumping, you automatically breathing, etc. It’s also why you don’t forget to breathe.)
if we were to stay in one sleeping position and refuse to roll over all night we would likely be always lucid
i notice if i sleep in forever, yet still feel more tired
if i say “okay this time, i am going to sleep, but i will not roll over, ever”
then i eventually, since i wake up and refuse to roll over, find myself in a state of alertness
and dreams do not come, for if they did i would float out of body or go into SP
It is possible to have lucid dream every night, with or without WILDs. Some do. But not everyone has the chance to practice WILDs and FILDs every night/morning.
Well. The big logic theory tells us that in the RL we get input from the outer by the 5 senses and the brain calculates and translates it to whatever you see/feel/hear/smell/taste. But there is also an inner input which comes from the deduction or induction of the pieces from the outer world with the help of our brain (look at it as a big CPU).
In ND or LD we see/feel/hear/taste/smell just like in RL and even better and sharper (compensation for the disability in the RL) BUT most of the input is inner input. only some little fragments of the dream are actual outer input Dream Creatures (For ex. You are sleeping and its cold when suddenly the blanket is rising and your feet are exposed - - > In the ND you enter a cold pool/waters).
Yes, reality is what your brain tells you it is but remember that (what now is proven still) in the dream you only precieve what you already did.
But hey, It doesn’t prevents you from invention or trying to pre-cog!
