well i dont know where i read a topic all about DC’s and an experiment in which you ask your dream characters,“Are you a creation of my subconsious?” And so Last night i had a LD and i looked around and i saw someone walking up my street. So i walked up to them and asked are you a creation of my subconsious? And their responce was something like,“creation?” “subconsious?” and quickly walked up the hill… I looked across the street and saw my neighbor, i walked up to them and asked them the same question. But their responce this time was," I have a subconsious" They then quickly walked inside their house and slammed the door. Both of them seem not scared- but rather uncomfterable and a little frightened of the question… any thoughts??
I believe it was one of ‘arne saknussemm’ requests of asking such questions to DC for one of his personal experiments. He hasn’t visited since march it seems, so that’s too bad (not that we got along very well to say the least).
Anyway, I personally still believe that the responses of DC’s to questions are fed by our own expectations, fears and believes. I’ve noticed a couple of times that after reading a topic about DC’s behaving in a certain manner, my own DC’s also started behaving like that suddenly in a next LD.
Don’t stress, Limitless. I think they either simply didn’t understand the question, or were afraid that they weren’t real and would have to face that reality. Like BeRightBack said, I also believe that they respond to a question based on our own expectations. I mean, who is to say our dream self is “real” or not? I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be in a dream and faced with having to say “I’m not real” or something.
A DC answered me something weird too:
(DC)- You are dying
(Me)- Why?
(DC)- For other people to live
Also i agree with Eilatan. Dont know who exactly said this (Freud or Jung or whatever) but every person in your dreams (normal or lucid) represents one aspect of yourself.
hahaha that’s so odd. so cool though.
