WILD - Close but still failed

Tonight I woke up during REM due to my alarm clock.
I turned it off and tried to WILD using the counting technique, but I also imaginated my dream body walking around in my room. At that point, I felt the vibrations which I read about on the forums. My heart beated like hell, and I was a little scared of random sounds that might pop up, even though I knew they would be fake. Apparently, they didn’t come. I was in this stage for like 5 minutes but I just didn’t know what to do next, nothing seemed to work.

(Typing on psp so character amount per text field is limited sorry for double post) Taken care of  :tardis:

What did I do wrong at the end?

Also, I just had a dream where I was WILDing and it succeeded. It was a dream because I was trying it in a car

Thanks in advance!

At that point let yourself to fall asleep. Because there is nothing from that point aside from being more awake then you already are.

Because to dream you need to fall asleep, right? And that’s the time when you do it, when you feel those vibrations…

Try that and see what happens, you should end up in a dream next second, lucid…

Well, this might be a very odd question, but how do I do that? I also tried to do that but I was like… yeah… how…

Thanks though!

Heh, I know that’s not easy to do that, but mostly I feel at that point of SP that I need to struggle to stay awake so it’s sometimes easy to fall asleep.

My theory is that’s all about the feeling. You need to know in which part of SP you need to fall asleep, therefore you can determine when to start to relax by that I mean when to start to drift into dream world. And by that time you should get to the point where you feel that you need to fall asleep[I get special feeling, something like vibrations and then I know that I need to fall asleep] and you are going to be so tired that you’ll easily drift of.

You should test your feeling through whole SP. And by that you’ll know by the feeling in which state or part of SP you are and how much time you need until falling asleep.

Hope this makes sense! Good luck!

I agree. You kind of need to take a leap of faith and let yourself fall into the blackness of sleep. When you feel you are there quickly pull your awareness back and you will hopefully be in a LD. The only time I have succeeded with WILD was in a dream within a dream. LOL!

I’ve had the same problem as the OP and I was wondering: what’s this thing about rolling over into a dream? Can someone explain that?

Sometimes when you find yourself in a dream and where is everything black or when you’re at the very beginning of a dream then this manifestation of a transition can be preformed by a rolling into dream because many times our dream starts with us in bed so it’s all connected to that…

Oh, I see. Thanks.
