WILD - How to enter the dream picture.

I’m pretty sure I did everything right. I went to sleep, woke up 5 hours later, was up for 2 min, but just enough to become awake in my mind and then I did WILD. Everything went fine, my body was in SP, was seeing a lot of real images, and hearing some strange noises :cool_laugh: And finally I felt like my body was being pulled down from the bed, I just went with it. Then finally i saw this ultra real image which basicly stopped all the other images from comming, and i tried to enter it, but didnt know how. Which was really annoying because that’s the closest thing to becoming lucid with wild ever

I gave up after seeing the image and trying for 1 min to enter it and just went to sleep

Any hints how to enter the dreamscape?

well maybe imagine a new dreamscape, or interact with the image.

Or… imagine yourself spinning really fast, a dreamscape forming aorund you.

You’re not supposed to try so hard to enter it. If you do nothing and just relax you will enter the dream eventually. But you can enter it actively too, you just gotta find a way to enter it. For instance if you can move around in it in a sort of dull way. like, Imagining it. Then interact. And spin if you can.if you can’t really do anything, then just relax and concentrate on staying aware.

Whenever I WILD like that, I usually think I’m just seeing the dream image when in actuality, I’m already dreaming. Maybe you should check if you’re dreaming already by moving a body part. Of course, it could be that you’re not quite sleeping yet, and that would hurt your chances, but it’s just a suggestion.

I’ve never lucidly dreamed, but the reason why I’m posting here is so that I can initiate an active way to develop a construct of lucid dreaming… so, with that said…

In this situation, I would probably relax. My guess is that you weren’t completely asleep. You were probably jsut experiencing a detailed HI with the combination of previous feelings of an OBE, making your mind think you should be asleep.

I’ve had this before and I have been thinking about it for a few days. At this point, some solid ability of autosuggestion is probably useful. Instead of expecting such an experience like this as a gateway to your lucid dream, relax, and know you will eventually become lucid through this experiecne you are having.

When this happened to me I became annoyed when I woke up. I can recall the feelings I had now. When I reached this point I got too excited and the effects were reversed and I became conscious. I kept trying but I was too excited to calm down, so I gave up and slept. No lucid dream.

Anyway, this is a simple learning experience. Pull what you can from it and manifest something so you can use it to your advantage.

im just wondering… when u guys talk about imagening

do you see a picture in you mind or do you just see plain blackness inside of you eyelids? :open_mouth: cause thats what i do.

Ps: sorry for being offtocpic

What happens when I see these images is that I look into the blackness and suddenly I see pictures appearing. So basically I just see the pictures as if my eyelids had a kind of TV in them.

that sounds awesome Kasp!

nice  you always been like that? i never see anything in my eyelids

and w00t another Norwegian XD

Well actually I’ve only experienced it twice, and that was this week. Haven’t been trying this technique before and I thought I would give it a go and as said I’ve managed to do it 2 times. I didn’t get an LD from it though because I fell asleep moments after I saw the pictures. So the next time I’ll be more aware.

maybe you never had hypnagogic imagery. I haven’t… yet.

i guess thats it, but that isnt a problem because its an ability in all humans and i know i will get it sometime

I’m not sure what HI is, but I think I experienced it.
BTW. The forum is back!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

This comment interest me, because llast night I tried WILDing, and this is related to why it didnt succeed. I thought I’d be getting close to being asleep, and that soon I would be lucid. Although I was still entirely conscience(as you are supposed to be while doing WILD), anyhow… I was seeing images and i think that I may have, in fact, had SP briefly. The point is this: I was having all these ‘symptons’, if you like, of proper WILD technique, yet I was entirely aware of the fact I was still awake in my bed.

Hmm…it was almost as if I was imaging being lucid as opposed to being lucid.
