wild sensations

hi all, first post so i apoligise for the inevitable “posted a million times” thread  .

im very new 2 lucid dreaming, only had 1 on purpose, and it only lasted a few seconds due 2 my lack of knowledge (but on the first night i tryed so cant complain). but i decided 2 try 2 wild, just 2 see what the first stage was like.

i must of been in my trance (or wateva) for a good 30 - 45 mins, and id like 2 get an idea of which sensations where me getting over exited, and which are ones i should welcomle. and also how close i got for a first atempt, as i previously felt like wild wasnt for me as i normally take a good hour or 2 (or 3) to get to sleep as it is because i cant switch off my thinking.

first i felt a a numbness completely envolpe my body. it happened all of a sunden and was very plesent, next i felt like my tounge had swolen up so big, that it was taking up most of my mouth, and swallowing saliva became very diffucult. then as i felt i was seriously getting into this, my heartrate rocketed for no reason and breathing because difficult and shalow but i never felt in danger, i didnt feel like i was getting exited, but mayby i was.

i didnt see any colours… or mayby im expecting somthing else and ignoring them. and when i was counting between breaths, am i ment to concentrate on the numbers or just leave my mind to do it on its own? because for me staying focused wasnt the problems, it was sleeping. i was happily counting even if my mind did wander a bit.

would you say i was anywhere near close? im going to leave wild behind anyway because i need 2 work on my dream recall and my mild first, but i may return again when my quest for lucidity is thruther along

Yes you can, but it takes practice. If you sit quietly by yourself for a few minutes a day, it will do you wonders (improve you concentration, to say the very least).

Sounds like SP (<- hover the mouse). It’s a good thing, but it’s kind of scary, specially on the first times. The key here is: let go of your body. If you feel this, it means you’re in the right track - just let go. If you do, you may see some HI or hear strange sounds - just remember that it happens every night, but you’re normally unconcious. There’s no reason for fear - nothing can harm you.

As for the heart rate, it may be pure excitement (which is pretty common), but once I’ve read that when you brain waves lower, you feel like you heart is racing when it’s not. I can’t say for sure where I read it, but I remember it was (or at least tried to look like) a pretty serious research.

I can’t say how close you are, but I can say you’re closer than many others who’ve tried and never got this far. WILD is a difficult thing. Just keep counting the numbers, let yourself go of bodily concerns and you’ll be on the right track
