Since WILD seems to be the most reliable way to have a lucid dream, ( No depending on remembering to do a RC) I think if someone was to actually try WILD every night, ( And I mean actualy trying it) I dont think it would take very long for a newbie to achieve results.Ill be starting tonight, and posting results later.
P.S Yes I know this is more like half me rambling on, and half experiment, but I think this is a decent SubForum to post in.
One thing you have to watch out for with WILD is being successful and not knowing it. Sometimes you’ll have slipped into a dream and will still be trying to WILD inside of that dream. So, be careful not to drop your RC just because you’re doing a WILD.
The falling/sinking sensation is what I am trying to hold onto the most. Along with the ascending stairs, HI, & counting afirmations, “1, Lucid Dream, 2 Lucid Dream…” and on. WILD seems to me as the most fun. Sounds a lil dorky to say, but seems to me to be the most like a SUPER POWER. For a portion of out time here on Earth, we have the capability to not only bend reality, but create it all together. Can anybody else say “Whoa!”
The falling feeling I find very relaxing it scared me at first.
Once i got used to it its something i look forward to when I WILD
It took me a few trys to complete a WILD but its worth the effort in the end
the best way to have an LD
Well, for myself, and a few others I believe, it helps to use music to get you into that lucid state. I use it to keep myself focused. For me, the music stays in my dream, which I enjoy all the more! Recently, I have been using the album “Echoes of War” from Blizzard Entertainment.
WILD is the technique i have the most trouble with, although i admit i’ve never put a really consistent effort into it like you’re planning to. who knows, you might get really good results. make sure to post them, i’m thinking of trying it myself.
my problem is with the HI i always become aware of the imagery, but then wake up immediately. the trouble, as i believe i read in a book by Stephen LaBerge, is being aware of the imagery/dream but not interfering. just observing. difficult.
