WILD trouble

Hey im new here and kinda want to say hi first.

Real Name is Vince and i am 17 years old and have been interested in lucid dreaming for about a year now.

Usually me and my friends attempt the WILD method after WBTB.

I have heard rumors that WILD could be done without WBTB, i have found this is true and i have tried it with a considerable margin of success.

I have a problem though, i can get to the point that it feels like i am “falling through the bed” or being shaken.

This experience doesnt scare me at all so thats not the problem.

The problem is i dont know what to do after this part…

I dont have any Hypnogogic Imagery or Sound, all i hear is the sounds of breathing besides me.

I also can feel and am fully aware of my eyes moving rapidly if that helps.

The main problem is that i do not see these “Fanatasic Landscapes” or hear music or whatnot, i just dont know what to do at this step.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

-Vince

Welcome Vince!

Well, your eyes shouldn’t be moving. And HI is (for me) just colors, and not these “fantastic landscapes” but if you ever get as far as that, imagine yourself, say, climbing the mountain you see, or swimming in the ocean. Eventually you will feel the texture on your hands and you will be in your dream.

If you don’t have HI or sound, you are definately doing something wrong… Make sure you are COMPLETELY relaxed, in a dark, silent, room. Make sure nothing could suddenly wake you up.

DO A REALITY CHECK

So, no visual or auditory perceptions at all? Do you just have the black void?
Sometimes that happens to me, you just have to wait for images to start forming.
How long do you wait? Do you make yourself wake up or does it happen against your will before you can get to the dream state?

Nope, nothin just a black void and thats whats irks me.

I feel too much in control, too focused to be sleeping i think…

As for my eyes i dont know if that is some Hypnogogic stuff but i am sure they are moving, i feel it against my eyelids.

Last night i just lied in bed in that state and waited and hoped something would happen, nothing did, i think the state i was in just faded away.

I am going to bed right now so ill try to imagine something that would incite touch like a sandy beach.

Thanks again

Yeah Artie J has a good point too. If that’s what’s happening then just be a little more patient.

PS @Artie J
You’ve been here almost 6 years and I’ve been here 4-5 days and I have almost as many posts as you hehe.

AHAH! I FOUND YOUR PROBLEM! You said “last night”!

Use WBTB for this! It’s 130x easier! Try it out and see how it works.

I don’t have much aduvice for the place ur having a hard time. I’m new and have problems in the same area.
I’m not good at technical terms, but what works for me is to set an alarm 2 hrs before my regular time getting up time.
This catches me right in the middle of my dream cycle. I find its much easer to find lucidy from here.
I hope this helps u.
The best to u in ur pursuit of lucidness

I say be patient and practice.

@jpka: A lot of people just make an account to be able to read stuff or ask a few questions here and there. So its not about how many post you have.

Well i know WBTB is a great method but i have read here that it is possible without.

I could only do WBTB on the weekends due to school but i though learning to master WILD without it meant i could do it whenever i wanted.

It’s strange.
I never see a black void, not even when I close my eyes at daytime.
I always see some dots and some colours. How come?

I haven’t been able to post as much since the evil monkey took up residence in my closet.

Definitely try WBTB next time you can.
